“I work for a local organization providing senior care. Today, we took a field trip to this location of Five Below. I can't speak of this location or the staff with high enough praise. The individuals I visited with can have difficulties with some everyday activities and the staff met them with smiles, kindness, and assistance where required.
The store was clean, the aisles were not clogged, the displays were clear, print was big and the lighting made everything clear. Moving around with multiple types of mobility device was no problem at all.
It was my first visit and I would strongly recommend this location to anyone hunting for their particular variety of goods.”
“This is one of the nicest and cleanest Dollar Tree stores I've ever been to in the Roanoke Valley. It has a very nice selection that's organized well, too.”
“This Dollar General in Salem, Virginia is right off of I-81. Having been to hundreds of Dollar Generals over my reviewing period, this is among the best I've been into. This particular one is deceptively huge. It's been here for a very long time and though it does have a tight parking lot, the interior is spacious and just about as spotless as it can be. The staff on deck when I went were very nice as well.
This is a great store and is quite a uniquely designed one on the interior. Neat store!”
“A typical Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is a treasure hunt for anyone who loves a good deal. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by bright red signage, simple warehouse-style aisles, and shelves stacked high with all sorts of discounted goods — from home décor and kitchen items to books, toys, rugs, and even snacks. It’s not the most polished or organized store, but that’s part of its charm. You never quite know what you’ll find, and that makes every visit feel a bit like an adventure.
Prices are usually much lower than what you’d pay at major retailers. You can often score name-brand products for half the price, especially on bedding, cleaning supplies, or seasonal items. The selection changes constantly depending on what shipments come in, so regulars know to come back often to see what’s new.
The staff is usually friendly and helpful, though the checkout lines can get long during busy times. The store itself feels no-frills — concrete floors, cardboard displays, and handwritten signs — but the focus is clearly on savings, not fancy presentation.
If you enjoy hunting for bargains and don’t mind digging through a bit of clutter to find them, Ollie’s delivers exactly what it promises: “Good stuff cheap.” It’s perfect for stocking up on household essentials or discovering unexpected finds without spending much. While it’s not a place for quick, targeted shopping, it’s a fun stop for deal seekers who enjoy browsing and stretching their dollars.”
