“This is my GO TO grocery store. Whenever I come to South Boston, VA. It is adequate for what I come to get. The employees are not overly friendly. Meat Dept was attentive to my needs when I ask them a question. Fresh produce, fresh everything. Prices are reasonable.

“Very few nice country store with a vast variety in case you forget something you need. Very friendly staff. The place is clean. They also have a deli where you can't go wrong with anything and the meals are cooked quickly! Good place to stop for a minute or just hang out with the local folk and see what's happening.”
“The food is delicious. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries and it was fantastic. It looks like a bait and tackle box store on the outside, but the inside is full of deliciousness. They are also open for breakfast and I'm looking forward to trying their breakfast items too. And I love that they put your fries in a covered container so they can stay warm longer. If you are looking for some home cooked grilled food, this is the place to go.”

“We were very impressed with the selection, the price and the QUALITY of hot cooked foods at the Deli. We bought a 2 piece (breast and thigh!) BAKED chicken dinner with 2 sides (we chose mashed potatoes with gravy and mixed sqash, green eans and carrots) and a biscuit for $8. It was DELICIOUS AND HOT! There was seating on the front covered patio with nice wooden rocking chairs. (We don't smoke so we just moved the ash tray.) Inside the store was well stocked and very nice and clean! So we're the restrooms (which Inwas told are checked every hour!) All staff were very pleasant and efficient. There was a whole line of gas pumps and the parking lot was well paved and cared for. We will certainly visit here again when going through Dinwiddie! Very pleased!”

“Most of the time when you walk into a store you never get greeted the correct way but as soon as I walked into this dollar general the cashier was very friendly. While waiting in line I noticed how nice she was to every single customer that she rung up, once it was my turn I thanked her for being a breath of fresh air.
