It’s the people who make the difference when you’re staying away from home (weeks at a time), and this team represents Hilton extremely well.
I travel frequently for work and spend a lot of time in hotels, so I definitely notice when a staff goes above and beyond. The level of hospitality and customer service I received here is exactly what keeps me coming back to Hilton properties.

“Stayed in one of the suites with a kitchen. The bed was very hard. Found popcorn kernels under the bed. Goldfish under the couch.
No extra bedding for the pull out couch and a lightbulb was out in the kitchen.
As a housekeeper,I know what to look for in cleanliness. Was a nice room except for the food under the furniture.
Would hate to have a pretty nice place wind up with roaches for things like that.”

“Me and my husband were in the process of buying a house and our lease was up. We looked all over chesterfield and surrounding areas for a good place to stay at till everything was finalized. We stayed here and had the most awesome experience. The staff was amazing I loved being able to get a hello from Desmond and I loved that everytime I went downstairs to get my keycard done I was always welcomed with a smile from Shalamesha. The maintenance guy Kenny was always hands down doing everything to make sure it was always clean and safe. You even get to meet new people that not only lookout for each other but is always there for you even if your having a bad day and they cheer you up in the elevator. Everyone is truly amazing there and so glad we got to stay there while our house process was getting done. 10/10 will definitely recommend.”

“Very friendly and helpful staff from the front desk to the kitchen to the maid service! The single room I was in was very clean and the bed and furniture were like new. I loved the walk-in shower in the bathroom. The only draw-back was the lighting in the bath was very dim.
There is a free hot breakfast and a restaurant across the parking lot.
This will be my go-to hotel in Richmond from now on!!”
“Very nice hotel! Loved the pool outside during summer and right next to the Wawa for anything you need quick! Also Taco Bell, Chinese’s and Mexican food all within walking distance! Beautiful place with fountain out front. Breakfast was delicious as well, waffles, cereal, egg bites and of coarse yogurt, hard boiled eggs! On weekends they spice it up!”

“The area has added several regular parking lots that have been free in the past with no changes; now requires a fee. I don't know the exact reason; but it is not hotel or brand specific.
The in hotel store was very low on supply, so there was at least the option to walk to gas station. A few options for food were in same area.
I personally felt some updates, yet some age still seen. No real complaints beyond the parking. I drive a large or oversize vehicle, this particular lot is smaller.. but now requires payment (I am just no okay) I can understand if valet, garage, downtown limited space, ocean limited area; but not something that has been the same ol for ages”
“Very nice travel hotel. I’ve stayed in quite a few while driving along the east coast and this is the nicest. Night check-in hospitable and professional. Very clean rooms, king bed very comfortable. A/C worked great in room, even good coffee 24/7. Left before breakfast at 6am. Paid $160, worth the price!”

“The room and property was nice. The gentleman that checked us in was helpful, and the housekeepers were helpful. The staff downstairs at the desk were so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't even speak or see if anyone at breakfast needed anything. I'm very low maintenance, but every guest deserves at least a hello.”

“People at front desk at first was a little standoffish, but after getting to know them a couple of weeks they were great. The lady that takes care of the rooms was really a awesome lady. If my job takes me back to that area I will stay again. I say again they were great people.”

“We were in Room 125, non-smoking just beside the office. Room was quiet and well appointed. Bottom of door could use a sweep. Temps and bugs aren't bad in early April, so we didn't have a problem, but other times of year, that could be undesirable.Bulb in one lamp didn't workbut we did OK with 1 lamp and the overhead. However, No lighting in the rear alcove beside the bathroom required a flashlight to program the AC unit or adjust the fridge at night. I accidentally froze the milk . Very powerful fridge and microwave but turnstile in microwave not working.NO SHAMPOO or CONDITIONER, only a single teeny tiny bar of soap, they don't provide it.We were staying here for a couple of days before our original reservation at Days Inn Chester . At Days Inn we paid $5 more but were greeted with unlimited shampoo, conditioner and larger soap, as well as pet friendly.The room at WH was generally good , the heat and AC worked .I do like parking right in front of the room.The television was a Panasonic brand. And it was a decent size BUT it was so old that it did not even have HDMI ports to use our fire stick or Roku stick for streaming which was disappointing.The Days Inn didn't have HDMI either .”
“I work at Star Express Gas Station been there 4 yrs as a Cashier. When you think of hospitality at our Store and our great customers you think of the General Manager Ms Mary.She is all you need to brighten up your day. She is so affable. The lobby looks great. I had a friend that work there in 2020 and it looks so different there now.The renovations in the lobby is impressive.”
“I am very impressed with the improvements budget has made recently. The best thing for me was there are NO ROACHES!!! that made me the happiest women EVER! There is not a single low priced motel in this or the surrounding areas that is not infested with roaches. The building looks so much better in the blue they painted it and even the rooms had their minor repairs and upkeep done.great job best inn I think u r one of the best low end motels in the Petersburg area along with motel 6 and super 8. The Price has gone up slightly but in these times it's understandable.i would def.recommend”

“A clean and comfortable night when traveling Interstate 195. No frills. Nice beds, clean sheets, bedding and clean towels. Not really an area to walk a dog. Has only a small thin strip next to chain link fence about 6 car spaces in length. We were comfortable snd we’ll return.”

“You really have to pay attention to find it. While the Hampton Inn sign is on the corner where you turn, it is actually behind the giant Comfort Inn in a quiet cul-de-sac. The room was great. The staff was courteous and professional. The breakfast was good as well. I would not recommend if traveling with children (No Pool, Gameroom, etc.). But for couples or business travelers, it is quite nice.”

“I stayed here in July 2026 with my son. I had very low expectations based on the reviews that I read but I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and not too dated. Check in staff were friendly. Hotel was quiet. There seem to be some folks here who are on long-term work assignments nearby but they were very respectful and neighborly. I stayed on a Friday night. No shenanigans. Yes, the train tracks are right behind the back of the hotel and they are loud. Not the hotels fault.”
