“I celebrated my birthday at The Jefferson in Richmond and the experience was truly exceptional from start to finish.
The service was outstanding and every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. From the moment we arrived I felt celebrated and cared for in a way that went beyond standard hospitality.
The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The architecture, elegance, and atmosphere make you feel like you’ve stepped into something timeless and royal. Our suite was beautiful and comfortable and the entire property created the perfect setting for a special occasion.
Even a short stay felt like a true luxury escape because of how thoughtful and refined everything was. The Jefferson didn’t just host my birthday, it elevated it into a memory I’ll always cherish.
Highly recommend for anyone celebrating something meaningful or simply wanting an extraordinary hotel experience.”
“Super creative concept. Good price point, we came here for brunch on Sunday with a group of 4 at 10:30 reservation. After eating, we didn't have to wait to golf. Tons of fun, the course is really creative and cute. Perfect group activity. As we left though it looked like there was quite a line.”
“My boyfriend and I had the sweetest stay at this hotel! We loved our cozy garden room, it was the perfect spot to unwind. The only thing we needed was a fridge, but that was a minor hiccup. The real highlight was meeting Will at the bar/restaurant - he's a treasure! He gave us fantastic recommendations for exploring VA, since we're actually considering moving here ?. Overall, our night was absolutely delightful and we'd definitely come back!”

“I stayed Oct 9–13, 2025 in Room 418. About two hours after check-in, housekeeping repeatedly knocked — unusual timing. Later I discovered my Samsung Galaxy EarBuds 3 Pro, a travel-size perfume bottle, and a nail clipper were stolen from my room. The next day, “Find My Device” located the earbuds on the far side of Richmond. I informed the hotel; they promised a call back but I received nothing — not even an apology. I filed a police report. Please be cautious with housekeeping at this property.
Update: The manager Patric reached out to me. He apologized for the incident and, as a gesture, credited 35,000 points to my IHG account. That is nice and professional! Thank you!”

“My mother and I stayed at this hotel on our way up to the NE, and we enjoyed it so much that we stayed here again on the way back. Cliff, at valet, was extremely helpful and kind. After a long day of driving and a last minute booking, he made us feel as though this was going to be a good stay - and we hadn't even made it inside. Then we met Noah at the front desk who was incredible. He was patient and answered all of our questions. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. It was a joy to hear him answer the phone when we went to book our second stay on our trip back home.
The room we stayed in was updated and clean, and had plenty of character. The floor to ceiling windows looking down onto the cobblestone road was a huge plus. The bathroom was clean. The room was quiet and relaxing.
I will say that the restaurant on the first floor needs some help. While the staff was kind and the restaurant itself looked pretty put together, skip the coffee and the pancakes.
Overall, will absolutely be staying here again in the future.”

“We had a pleasant one-night stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Richmond, and overall, it was a great experience. The hotel feels modern and well-maintained, with clean, comfortable rooms that met all our needs—no issues there. The staff was incredibly helpful, from check-in to answering our questions, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The highlight was the breakfast buffet at Cafe Palm, which was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options and some of the best coffee we’ve had at a hotel.
The indoor-outdoor pool setup looked fantastic and was a unique feature we were excited to try. Unfortunately, a family reunion was happening during our stay, and a group of teenagers was quite loud and disruptive in the pool area, which was a bummer and made it hard to enjoy. While the pool itself was clean and inviting, the noise and trash made it so I didn't want to go in. There was another parent with their child, they did the same as me. Walked in, looked at the disaster, then truned around. Kids and teenagers, no parents in sight. I know staff might have been reluctant to say anything because they didn't want to seem racist, but this was pretty bad. Staff should have least asked for adults to be present.
Despite the pool issue, the hotel’s cleanliness, modern vibe, and excellent breakfast made our stay enjoyable. The staff’s friendliness and the convenient amenities, like free Wi-Fi and parking, added to the positive experience. We’d consider staying again, hoping for a quieter pool next time”

“I love this hotel. My son lives nearby and I stay here when I visit from Northern Virginia. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is excellent.
I was checked in yesterday by Nicole and Cassie, who were very helpful and friendly. Hot breakfast is included and is nice. There is coffee available 24 hours.
A great Willow Lawn location with lots of shopping and good eating nearby.”

For the price, would definitely recommend as a place to stay in Richmond.”

“I had a nice experience from the moment I entered and went to the front desk. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful employee who name I failed to get. She not only helped with room reservation but I was having car problems and she introduced me to Jerry the maintenance guy on two days part time to help assist me with my vehicle problems. Jerry was more than helpful he provided me with a personal escort to a shop who knew some mechanics right by hotel. Unfortunately it was a dealership issue so had to take to Haley airport Buick dealer who were wonderful as well. I found the rooms very clean and clean sheets. I really enjoyed my stay here and everybody was very helpful and friendly.”
“We just stayed at the Graduate last night because we were going to see '& Juliet' at the Altria Theater. The Graduate is in an awesome location, within walking distance of the theater and lots of eateries and shopping.
The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, which is a rarity these days. The bathroom was small and the water pressure in the shower was barely there.
I wouldn't call this a 4 star hotel (in hotel ratings), though, because neither the rooftop bar or the 'restaurant' on the lobby level are full service. It's counter service only.
One thing I would advise, unless noise does not bother you, is to request a room away from the elevators and ice machines. When we checked in, we were initially given a room right at the elevator and within 5 minutes we knew we would not get any sleep or peace if we had to keep that room. I went down to the front desk and thankfully they were able to move us and the new room was well away from the elevator and we both slept quite well.”

“Picked this hotel because I was in town for a trade show and it had an indoor pool.
Staff were polite and on the ball, facility was clean, room was clean and the bed was excellent. The only complaint I have is the elevators and the pool. Elevators on Saturday am took a long time to arrive. Pool had a scummy film on the surface so I didnt use it. Breakfast was good, and hot and plenty of food avail despite it being busy. Only suggestion is, to have staff check the pool more frequently and do something about the elevators taking so long. Perhaps have a floor indicator above the doors so people can decide either to wait or take the stairs. Spent 5 minutes waiting when I should've just walked down the stairs.”
“Hotel was fine. We came at an unfortunate time when they were doing a bunch of construction, but it was okay. The only bad thing was the shower had little to no water pressure. It felt like sometimes you were sprayed in the face by a water bottle. Other than that the stay was good, service was great, and the location was awesome.”
“I stayed here over 4th of July weekend, and my stay did not disappoint! While I initially had low expectations due to reviews I read before my stay, I was happily surprised! My boyfriend and I shared a King non-smoking room, and had plenty of room to spread out. The room was overall cleanly, and housekeeping checked in frequently over our 4 day stay. The location is ideal, with every food option I could want in a short distance (less than 2 miles away). This inn was a perfect place to escape the blistering heat that was lingering, giving a perfect reason to cuddle up in bed all weekend with the air conditioning! I plan on returning very soon, and hope my next stay is just as good as my first!”
