My daughter needed training wheels on her new bicycle - not only did they get the work done asap they also gave us an huge tip on how to best teach our daughter how to ride once the training wheels come off!! 100/10 will be recommending to everyone!!”

“This is, without a doubt, an absolutely amazing bike shop! About a month ago, I bought a road bike here, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I had some issues with payment on the day of purchase, but they patiently waited for me and went out of their way to help. They were so warm and supportive, answering all my questions in great detail. Every time I came back for adjustments, they remained just as patient and helped me resolve any issues smoothly. Truly a fantastic experience!”
“Fantastic! I dropped in late on a Friday with a slipping chain on my commuter everything bike and you had me back on the road in a flash with a repaired chain at a very reasonable cost. “I’ve followed Amrit from Conte’s to Trek Georgetown and now Trek Alexandria South. He is a great leader and corrals a great team wherever he goes.
The extra mile is standard for Amrit. When there was a backlog getting new bracket/hopd covers for my bike followed by a mix up, Amrit did everything in his power to get me fixed up.

We bought a Scott e-mountain bike a couple of months ago: it is great, very light, you can use it with no motor, but then the motor helps you when there is an uphill. BigWheelBike's staff perfectly tuned and adjusted the emtb. Some weeks later, we bought a second one, similar, and we were offered a great deal to upgrade the first one with electronic gear shifter. They perfectly upgraded. You can feel these guys love bikes, and they know exactly what to do for the best, kind, professional service.”

Yesterday (2025.03.30), I had another awesome experience at Bikenetics.
Thanks to the first 70+ day weather of the year, I got ready for the first ride of the year only to notice a broken spoke on my rear wheel. So, I headed over to Bikenetic to drop-off my bike for repair. When I got there, Jan, the owner, took care of my bike immediately while explaining what he was doing. Maybe 15 mins or so later I was out the door with the broken spoke replaced in time to hit the W&0 for a 40+ miles ride in a gorgeous Spring DC evening weather.
Since, I purchased my beloved Bianchi back in 2021, I have had multiple similar good experiences at Bikenetics. So much thanks to Bikenetic and friendly staff. Best Wishes.”

They asked a few questions and quickly got to work. Their quick turnaround and helpful suggestions were greatly appreciated. “Great local shop!! I have always had such good experiences in this shop. Just went in to buy a bike rack and have a bike inspected that I just bought. Kyle the manager is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! Very friendly and helpful . He not only tuned up my new bike but he also installed my bike rack on the trunk of my car and did it a few times until he knew I could do it myself, and understood how to install it and take it apart. That is what I call customer service when you not only buy an item from a store but that store wants to make sure they educate you on the items that they sell. I cannot remember the two younger staff members but everyone in the whole store was very kind and welcoming. . People need to remember reviews are very important to a business they can make or break a small local business and yes people make mistakes, but to leave a bad review for an honest mistake to me is not right we must really support and stand behind our local businesses because where would we be if they disappeared and went out of business because of bad reviews. I’ve been in the store several times over the years for both my bikes and my granddaughters bikes and I can tell you if they have made mistakes it was not intentionally. This is a very kind and caring company. Support local we need them in our communities so be kind and support our Lakeridge community bike shop!”
“I’ve gone here a couple of times. Wants to get my tire tube replaced. And wants to get my daughters tire tube replaced and they also did an overall tuneup and fixed something that was wrong with the bike. Overall, very friendly people there are quick service and very affordable. I definitely want to get one of the BMC bikes there someday. I am saving up.”

“Bought a new Ibis mountain bike here a month ago. I highly recommend this shop. In addition to Ibis, they have other great brands of bikes. They are a demo shop, so you can check out bicycles and ride them to decide what fits you and what you like. Wakefield Park is across the street and has mountain bike trails that provide a perfect demo course. I rode on typical trails through woods, a jump line, a "techy" climb, a bermy downhill section, and some chunky rock areas all in a loop that I could ride in about 45 minutes pedaling from the shop. The staff was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They set up a few bikes for me to demo and were very accommodating. Once I decided, they ordered me what I wanted and set it up perfectly for me. I honestly could not have asked for a better experience.”
