“I genuinely can’t thank this animal hospital enough for everything they did for my dog (Tyler) over the years. I’ll be honest — there were times when I wondered if they were pushing me to spend more money or do tests that were really necessary. Looking back now, I’m so incredibly grateful that they did. One of those times was when they encouraged me to get bloodwork done while we were trying to figure out what was going on with Tyler’s teeth. That bloodwork ended up uncovering health issues we had no idea were there, and because we found them when we did, we were able to treat and manage them. I truly believe that gave me more years with my baby, and there is no amount of money that could ever compare to that. They also recently started offering a payment plan, which I really appreciated because veterinary care can obviously become very expensive, especially when you have an older dog with ongoing health issues. What I appreciated most was that I always felt like they cared about Tyler. They picked up my countless phone calls, always got back to me, answered my questions, and never made me feel like I was bothering them for worrying about him. And when Tyler became very sick and they recognized that there were things they might not have the resources or answers for, they didn’t pretend otherwise. They advised us to take him to his emergency vet at Dr. Kilrain’s office so he could get the care he needed. They showed Tyler so much love throughout his life, all the way until the very end. Losing him has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through, but I will always be grateful to this team because I genuinely believe their thoroughness gave me more time with him. Thank you for taking care of my little Tyler, for taking me seriously when I was worried, and for giving me more years with him than I may have had otherwise.”

“I've been going to Burke Forest vet for over 20 years. When we first went it was different management. Dr Bowles bought it years ago and it's even better. Dr. Bowles and all the staff are amazing and thoughtful. I have taken my puppy and my very old dog to them. They understand what is needed for both and show amazing compassion. They bring out a pad for my old girl to lay on and sit on the floor with her. They have great energy for my young pup. I recommend them highly.”

“Dr. Kocen has been treating my dog Riley with acupuncture for the past 3 years, and I’m very grateful for his care. Riley is 16 years old and had acupuncture today after her water treadmill therapy. After resting at home, she was happy, active, alert, affectionate, ate well, and even played with her brother Theo. Dr. Kocen has always taken a thoughtful, whole-dog approach. He also referred us to a nutritionist, which helped us develop a homemade diet that Riley has done very well on. I appreciate his knowledge, compassion, and commitment to helping senior dogs maintain quality of life. We highly recommend him.”

“My dogs have been patients here for years, and I recently needed help with some international travel exams and paperwork for my dogs. Imani, the practice manager, is an absolute LEGEND. She knows her stuff, and will go above and beyond to help with the paperwork and make sure everything is taken care of. The vets are also great of course, but if I had to travel again I would 100% trust Imani with the crazy process. You can’t go wrong with using this practice.”
