“Room was a bit outdated due to the age of the hotel but it was thankfully, very clean with the bathroom slightly updated. The super-thin comforter wasn't adequate for the freezing temps that we've experienced but the heat from the heater kind of makes up for them. Also, when taking a shower, the pipes scream when you want warmer or hotter water which almost makes me hesitate to take another one after the first night due to fear of disturbing the neighbors next door. We were also placed near the back doors, so we heard the slam of the doors every so often. Sockets from the electrical outlets in the wall were worn out to the point of sagging connections from electrical cords. The t.v. also didn't have higher resolution so it was like watching t.v. in the 70's, 80's or 90's. All in all, the stay was comfortable and good, located in a nice, quiet area of Triangle, near what looks like a quiet, residential area. It was especially nice that the hotel was right next to the highway but stuff definitely, needs to be updated throughout the room so that potential electrical shock, for example, would be prevented. The major plus about this hotel is that it is one of the few out there that still offers free breakfast. Though it is still mostly continental breakfast, they offer warm eggs, sausages, bagels, bread, waffles and coffee in the morning to help start out the day. Would recommend for quick overnight stops and also for close proximity to D.C.Rooms: Rooms are outdated with the exception of maybe a little bit of the bathroom. The few outlets in the room were super-worn down with no usb connections available anywhere, comforters and blankets were too thin even though they were nicely clean and fresh, shower pipes were loud from turning on hot water, and the toilet took forever to flush so maybe the hotel should consider replacing those worn out toilets for new ones.Safety: Area seems safe and quiet unless there are hotel parties going on. We stayed there for 3-4 nights and one of those nights had a hotel party in a conference room. The music was loud but it wasn't too terrible.”

“Front desk attendants were some of the friendliest & helpful I have ever experienced. Hilton should be very proud of this location & the employees here!Rooms: Room was very clean. Serviced daily if wanted. “Will never stay at this hotel again the staff is very rude and have no prior knowledge of their policies. I was charged A $250 deposit for accidentals paid way more for that than I paid for a room for one night. I was told that my money would be released after checking the room, making sure everything was in order was told my money release in a few hours or even a few days they really think much of it and mind you. It’s been a whole month after calling and calling and calling no answer no nothing was told it got released but then again, I find it funny after a whole entire month it finally got canceled and finally got my money back . The rooms are nice don’t get me wrong but staff is unprofessional very rude. Don’t know their policies and management can never get back to you or probably there just want to hear my mouth at all. This is not the first time I’ve read that people were charge outrageous amount of deposits, and it seems to be I was the only one who got chosen to pay that huge amount that was way more than my room for one night, which is ridiculous will never stay here again.”

“Awesome hotel. There was a potato bar when we arrived and a hot breakfast in the morning. They have an indoor heated pool that was nice and comfortable in mid December. The hotel rooms are twice as big as necessary. A full kitchen with a dishwasher and a stove top. Fully filled with dishes. Two large tvs. A big bathroom with nice hot water. Nice staff at the desk. Friendly cleaners in the hallway. Best hotel experience we’ve had in years.”

“What service?Rooms: Needs bathroom to be updated. I was charged an extra $100 on my card for deposit, not sure for what. Never had this happen before. No receipt either.”

“Good stay but miss the cookies. They said no more cookies due to co-vid, which is inconsistent with all other Hampton Inns. Co-vid is over and after driving for many hours to arrive there, would really appreciate Dumfries Hampton Inn re instituting the cookie policy like all the other Hampton Inns. That is why we pick Hampton Inn over a different property. Thanks much! “I loved the location.Near restaurants and Potomac Mall. 1.8 miles.The room was clean and the shower setup was relaxing. Shower water comes from up top and in front of you. I would definitely stay here again.The customer service was pleasant.Rooms: Clean and cozyEquipped with everything you need”

“While visiting friends and family between Christmas and New Year's, we found this hotel so nice that we came back to it during our trip. Nice King suites with a DOOR between the living room and the king bedroom. If we still had teens, this would have been great! Good bed, nice shower, all clean, good breakfast. I always appreciate seeing these eggs as the scrambled are too salty.”

“There's always room for improvement but this is a nice place. Clean rooms with amenities. Hotel staff was friendly and recognized us and knew what room we were in coming and going. It's right near a ton of shopping and restaurants so that is convenient. Not overpriced like other places and just as nice if not better. Love the shower!Safety: Security cameras are abundant so it feels like you're very safe.”

“Tight security to get into the hotel. You have to have a reservation AND show ID before before being allowed past the front doors . Nearby steak restaurant and Rt. 95. “I thought it was a good stay. I stayed for four days, although there were a few things that I noticed: the elevators were always being worked on and the pool wasn't open. Other than that, I thought the rooms were nice, and I recommend going to eat their breakfast, which ends at 10 a.m. The room service was excellent; the cleaners were patient and kind, we gave them tips every time they cleaned up our rooms. The location was moderately good, although there is a busy road next to it. Other than the road, the location is good; there are places to eat and gas stations close to it. Overall, I would give this a 5 out of 5.”

“The first morning of our 7 night stay two dogs and a baby had escaped a woman’s room and were wondering bthrough lout the building and even made it to automatically front doors to the parking lot. The employees had no reaction and I had to grab the baby until the Mom came. The woman suspected someone had opened their room door for them to escape and was furious. I also was staying with my young daughter so it concerned me a little. The morning of our last day in the hotel, I was in the shower and my daughter was in the room. I then realize she had gotten out of the room and was wandering the hotel for probably 10 minutes while I was showering and could have easily gotten out of automatic doors and onto highway. Very Scary and something very suspicious is going on in this hotel.”
