“The blue button for package drop off is broken (step 1), but the scanner still works (step 2). I heard a beep when it scanned, so I placed my package in the chute (step 3), closed it and a tracking link was printed out. 24/7- nice option to have nearby!”

My return experience hadn't been going that great until I came to this post office and she helped me out and made the experience easy for me. Not to mention she understood my struggle with returning anything to the UK. This lady with multitasking helping me and helping everybody else with a positive attitude. She deserves her flowers.”

“The people who work here are knowledgeable and so pleasant—they clearly get along with each other, too. Today I watched them handle a customer’s bad attitude with grace and professionalism, and they were still polite! And I take it for granted that they’re good at their work because I’ve never had an issue mailing in or out with them. So, a very easy 5/5.”

“LOVE this post office. You can park for free — unlike many post offices. The staff is super-friendly, unlike many post offices (looking at you, River Road, Potomac!) and they are knowledgeable and efficient but not officious (looking at you again, Potomac!). Plenty of mailing stuff if you need it — plus some greeting cards and sets of cards. All the stamps. Never a line (hello Potomac, and Bethesda POs). But mostly it’s the staff.”
“Had the best experience ever at the USPS Herndon Post Office yesterday afternoon. I had to rush a shipment of close to fifty boxes of school related books for children on the island of Puerto Rico. During the day I was trying to figure out the best and most affordable way to get the boxes delivered and Patel helped me sort out the boxes, I needed, labels etc. During the afternoon I boxed all of the items with the help of my wife, son and daughter. By 5pm on this Friday I went back to the Post Office and Patel lent me four carts to unload our boxes. Meanwhile, the other employee there Zafirah started preparing the shipment orders and identified a mistake in the zip code which she kindly went about fixing one box at a time by using white out and correcting the mistake to ensure the shipment got there on time. She also had Patel set aside a “trolley” to ensure all boxes were loaded together so they could get there together instead of separately. It took about an hour to do it all but both Zafirah and Patel were mega kind and willing ti ensure the process went through smoothly. I can I thank them enough for their kindness and professionalism. This is what public service is all about !!!”
“Highly recommend! Really great experience at this USPS. Friendly staff and great service. Located in a super cute area with stores and restaurants and plenty of parking.
Had to wait a bit for the family in front of me getting their passports done but I was next in line and completed it within 10 minutes during walk-in hours. Very happy I was able to do so as I needed expedited service and had gone to another USPS the same morning and had a terrible experience (opened 10 min late, super long line and agent managed to get thru only one family during the entire hour and so everyone else was SOL)”
“Had an appointment for my passport and was seen by H Tran earlier than the time. I was in and out within 15 minutes. She was nice and prompt with service. Highly recommend going online and filling out the form and getting the photo ahead and you may also need to submit documents to the State Department.”
“This USPS location is fantastic. Ms Tran is the most helpful USPS person I have ever encountered. She has helped me many times, the line moves quickly and they even have a self checkout machine.”

“Jovan at the front desk is wonderful, he helped me out a lot. And when a trash can was on fire outside, he jumped into action looking for a fire extinguisher, which that location didn’t seem to be supplied with. But I could tell if he did have one there, he would’ve saved the day. USPS better put some fire extinguishers in! Either way Jovan cares and he deserves a raise.”

“Hard to find cause the sign is not like other offices usually have. there is no self-service machine inside. I was here once, the employee was not talkative and did not say hello or wish me a good day in return. It's quite cramped and a little bit dark inside.”

“I visited the Kingstowne post office yesterday, and I was overjoyed. The entire building was decorated for Christmas, which was a very surprising and delightful sigh after years of not being able to even acknowledge it.
My sales associate, Mr. Truong, has always been amazing. He has a sarcastic sense of humor I appreciate, and always try to educate you what did you do wrong ? and, that I can say whatever funny I want without him even batting an eye.
For the lady who had to deal with a rude customer, I am very sorry. I am also sorry for everyone who is lashing out at you. Remember that you never know what another human is going through, so it's important to be kind.
I did experience some negativity at this location before, but everything has improved lately, which is a great sign that things can change for the better.

“The only post office I’ve been to where I would give it a 5+ star, for passport service. Lovely lady’s at the counter. The first hour there was one lady at the counter with 2 appointments and 3 walk ins. She handled it very well by herself.”
“A very important letter that I was receiving was in the process of being sent back to the sender due to an address issue. I contacted this post office branch and they promptly intercepted the letter, corrected the address, and got it delivered to me the next day. Can't thank enough the hardworking staff at this location. ?”

“I made a Passport appointment and I was in and out in less than 15 minutes to include a picture and they do money orders on site. Everyone was very helpful and not on their phones or gossiping while customers were waiting. SORAYDA helped me with my passport and was an absolute all star.
