“My wife and I came here today to do some shopping. When we got there her blood sugar dropped very unexpectedly. I walked in to see if they had any candy or drinks and the wonderful woman working immediately recognized that we were in a medical emergency. As they do not sell people snacks only delicious snacks for your animal family members, she immediately went to her own snack stash to see if she had anything. I did not get your name but want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing such kindness to a complete stranger. You are a wonderful human being and I hope your boss sees this and you get a fat raise.”

“When our previous dog got older and needed extra care when we were away, we trusted About Pets Center with her needs. We now have a new dog (a puppy). We knew from day one we would take him to About Pets Center. Because our new dog is from a social breed, we take him at least twice a week for daycare so he can see his dog friends! We have had him groomed there, and we aim to have his nails done monthly (they come out smooth and rounded unlike the jagged splits that the vet produced!). The owners will help educate you on every aspect they can about your dog (a puppy is new to us!). Our dog loves to visit and shakes with excitement on our way through the door. He loves About Pets Center!”

“The Petco store in Roanoke Virginia has some very knowledgeable people and a great overall staff. They have fair pricing for most items however since I was buying fish I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the fish tanks in the store. The fish were in good shape but with the tanks being less than clean left doubt about there healthcare and well being.
UPDATE:02/07/2026 : I just visited the store again and I was amazed how clean the tanks were and the amazing selection of fish they had , I purchased a few rope fish and a few others, very pleased to say the least and as always the staff was amazing and super friendly . You have a customer that will always support you and the store thanks for being my local go too pet store for all my pet needs.”
