“**Update** Thank you for contacting me Olivia. I must have just gotten the wrong person on the phone. Definitely not the person you want interacting with customers. Since we had no warranty to worry about voiding we went ahead and tried a small spot of Brasso on the top of the fixture and it polished up nicely. Thank you for reaching back out to provide assistance.Bought brass light fixtures for our island about 17 months ago. Called today to confirm care instructions because I don’t want to damage them while cleaning (they look like they are starting to tarnish). Rep in VB stated that they were likely not brass, just sprayed to look that way. No way to look up my order, no warranty after a year and if I could remove my light from the ceiling I could likely find the brand inside the electrical housing and look up the care instructions myself. I explained that if, in fact, they are not brass, and this is a permanent state of deterioration of the fixture that would be horrible since these were really expensive; she chuckled and offered no assistance/explanation. Not the customer service one might expect after paying $3k for two light fixtures. Definitely not the quality you’d expect either.”
“Dr Johnny is a great guy always willing to help and give a good price. Good service. When you buy a refrigerator he gives you a loaner until your refrigerator comes in.”
“I cannot say enough good things about the people here. Particularly Alicia the cashier (I approached her with a question) and she was professional, polite, friendly, and very helpful and patient as well. I’ll definitely come back here because of her. Home Depot, Alicia is the face of Home Depot. Alicia deserves a promotion. Thanks!”
“You need to be lucky with who you find at the desk. Most of the employees are very friendly and respectful but there is always the odd one that thinks he is the smartest in the room and come across very rude and antagonistic. I’m sure the team can tell who is who! Still very convenient to have this so close to home.”

“I know, it's sometimes hard to give 5 stars to a store that everyone goes to out of need - that need for that caulk or bolt or light bulb to replace a burnt out one. Sometimes we don't think about customer service at a place where necessity drives the customers to the place, rather than whim or special occasions such as a department store or a fancy restaurant. And most of the time people just are happy that a store like Home Depot just has the item in stock. But I've had a couple of incidents where the service has been wonderful so here goes my 5 star rating. One night at around 8:30 when everyone's winding down for the day getting ready for the next , I decided it was great time to avoid the hot humid weather and the large crowds to buy bags of garden soil, top soil and mulch. Just have to get my new beds ready for fall planting! The garden center gates were closed, lights were dim and as expected, there wasn't anyone tending the garden center. I asked service desk to page someone to help me with the bags of soil and mulch. Not only was there someone who helped me load them in my cart, they even waited for me to pay for them and walked me to my car and loaded the bags - no requests needed - now that's customer needs anticipation and service! Then just last night I decided I couldn't make 4 trips to buy more than 25 bags of soil, mulch and gravel. So decided to order online for next day delivery. They indicated the merchandise will be delivered any time from 6am to 8pm. A truck came at 10:30am. A polite young man asked if it was the right address and where he can unload the items. He was very efficient, laid the bags very neatly by the driveway. I am not sure if the gentleman is a contractor for Home Depot or an employee - but service was wonderful. I recommend Home Depot's delivery service for $35 - well worth the gas, the mileage and the time it takes to go into store, have your car loaded for several trips!”
“I'm a contractor and when I'm in a "hardware" store I'm most likely heading to work, from work or at work. I'm least concerned by all the warm and fuzzy feelings shoppers get from their favorite retailers. Home Depot is my go to choice for materials, yes their lumber mostly sucks like every other budget retailer, my answer to that is lumber order it out when the budget supports it. My point is as a rule of thumb Home Depot has a good selection of lumber and materials at a reasonable price. Their staff are reasonably knowledgeable for the wage they receive. I recommend this Home Depot.”
“I had to go in and purchase 3 portable air conditioners and let me tell you that I was treated so wonderfully. They got a cart, went and got them with me, after I paid, they went out to my SUV and placed them neatly in my SUV! EXCELLENT SERVICE AND EXCELLENT CUSTOMER CARE! 10+ ?♥️ ”
“People are very customer focused.A lot of stores do the ball here, but Best Buy does take care of customers.
They only carry regular
consumer items; anything else is an online order.
Great place. Go. Get your popular stuff. They have it and they are nice people.”
“Belle was AWESOME!! We had purchased an item and needed help with a substitution. Belle and her team were incredibly friendly, helpful and responsive. I thought our question was going to be incredibly difficult and time consuming but Belle quickly sought and received the higher level approvals to resolve our issue. It was a pleasure working with them on this issue - totally exceeded our expectations!! Thank you!!”
“Have to add my 2 cents to counter and some of the negative reviews. I shopped this store at least weekly during a major home renovation. I got high quality kitchen cabinets, a bathtub and surround, range, dishwasher, and countless smaller items at fantastic prices. The staff got to recognizing me and offered me additional assistance with pricing and loading items. They go above and beyond and are doing a really important function in society, helping us reuse furniture and building supplies that would otherwise end up in the dump, and saving us money in the process. If you are in need of renovation or housing materials, go there, take your time, bring a tape measure and gloves. You never know what you're going to find.”
“I've found my favorite Home Depot!! I'm not one who likes to shop, at ALL, so I was dreading going there, especially just for only a few items.
I found a different location in the next city and was SO pleasantly surprised at how nice the service and atmosphere was! Man it was like all the employees where so chill and happy to be working there. It was just different from any other Home Depot I've been to. From now on, I'm going to that Virginia Beach Boulevard store when I need something.”
“John Langhorne was the one that helped me out. He was very knowledgable with fridges and wasn’t too pushy, which is hard to come by. Would recommend to at least look here for any appliance needs. Zach was helpful too.”
