“I was there visiting for the first time, but decided to go back to make a purchase for several items including attire. I was able to try them on as well. Owners were very pleasant including the little son who they are teaching entrepreneurship and asked me was I ready to purchase from his snack corner which I did buy mints and bubblegum. He made sure to add my tax as well . He sd 1.05 and he also to me that since I didn't have the cash, to pay the owners his portion..lol. now I am home trying to decide what to wear to church tomorrow...I will be bk...”
“They're so knowledgeable and helpful with finding the right curriculum for not only your child, but for you to teach with them. I left feeling like I had a good idea of how to approach and use our curriculum and who to ask for help finding something else if the curriculum doesn't work.
It also helps that the ladies were so friendly and easy to chat with! 10/10 will recommend to my homeschooling friends.”

The store has a beautiful entrance with a tiled entryway that gives it a polished, welcoming feel right when you walk in. Inside, the layout is easy to navigate and comfortable for browsing.
There’s a nice music and DVD section, which adds a bit of variety beyond just books. The thriller and romance sections are both solid, making it a fun stop for readers looking for something new.
The staff has always been friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better.
Overall it’s a well-designed Barnes & Noble with a great atmosphere and a strong selection.”
“Been here a lot. No idea why some people are crying scam or anything. Wide selection of you are willing to so a little searching. Don't anticipate Library levels of organization, but it's sorted by genre and easy to navigate if you can follow directions”
“Found a lot of really good things here. Not as large as the Newport location, however they do have some eye grabbing things from time to time. One pick I got from here was a Sega Saturn. They also had a really good manga for a bit called Phoenix.
Nonetheless, a wonderful store that shifts inventory frequently, has great staff, and good deals.”

Most all of their tarot/oracle decks have a demo set so you can look at the cards before purchasing. “Cyndy was AMAZING! She welcomed us, encouraged us to browse. I found two perfect books and even an organizer that I hadn't seen in decades (Amazon doesn't even have it!).
Several other folks came in and she was just as genuine and welcoming to them.
I assumed she was the owner, because of her excellent customer service.
This is a Top Notch place with old and new books. Even if they are a buck more for some titles versus online it's WORTH IT to support a LOCAL business. We will definitely be back! Thank you Cyndy!!!”
“I definitely want to give props to the young Hispanic lady with long hair that works in the section where you pickup your books and supplies. She was absolutely fantastic as well as positive. She took her time to explain everything to me in detail and was very patient and professional. The bookstore overall was very cozy, well organized and clean. The actual campus at TCC Virginia Beach is very nice. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the setup is!!!!!”
