Capes Hotel is a solidly above-average, affordable beachfront hotel offering good bang for the buck. It is an older, somewhat dated facility that has been well maintained, though some rooms show minor wear like furniture stains or ceiling patches. The rooms are comfortable with cozy bedding, large TVs, and enough space, though bathrooms can be very small. Many rooms feature wonderful balcony views of the beach and ocean. Amenities include a quaint indoor pool, a jacuzzi, and walkable access to the boardwalk with its restaurants, souvenir shops, and ice cream shops. The location is great for soaking in the views and being entrenched in the events of both the Strip and the Boardwalk. The staff receives consistent praise for being great, very nice, courteous, accommodating, and always friendly and helpful. Guests report feeling safe and never unwanted. The hotel provides clean beds and towels, contributing to a very comfortable and fun stay. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, it is considered a great place to stay, and many guests would return or recommend it.
Front desk was welcoming and informative, love the classic pics of the oceanfront from the 70s hanging up everywhere. Absolutely great experience

We really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub however the grab bars were not locked down which made getting out a little difficult. The toilet paper holder was extremely lose and we did report this. The pool area was cold but to expected since it was freezing outside.

Everything was great with the exception of not being able to smoke on the balcony. I had to go outside in the cold to my truck. Maybe the hotel should deligate a few rooms on the top floor for their customers that smoke.
