“I love this place. Especially the Meditation Garden and the Labarenth.
Everyone is nice. There are other things to do there as well. Bookstore and café.”
“The Tidewater Council Scout Shop in Virginia Beach is an excellent one-stop destination for everything Scouting-related. Located at 1032 Heatherwood Drive, the store is clean, well-organized, and stocked with official uniforms, books, badges, camping gear, and other essential items. Whether you're just starting in Cub Scouts or prepping for a big Scout trip, you'll likely find what you need here.
This store is even better because purchases help support the Tidewater Council’s programs for local youth. The hours are convenient—open Tuesday through Friday from 11 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM—making planning a visit around your schedule easy. It’s an excellent resource for Scouts, leaders, and families throughout the region.”
“I purchase a ton of items here for my non profit. The store is clean and organized. The manager at this one is present and friendly. I only donate to this one. The prices are reasonable and check the colors of the day for half off.”
“I've had to stay there, old place three times.Once w/o my sons, alone, then with kids. during school. Worked many nlt in kitchen but also yardwork.
The help you save money as they steady you on your feet. Second time with kids, I was given housing. Still pay reduced rent and bills. But been in housing, CAMGI for 20+ years.”
“My wife and I are very impressed with the facility where the dogs/cats are shown. Hope for Life has a great mission and the staff and volunteers truly love the work that they do. I want to thank Nicole for being so patient and kind to us while we made the decision on adopting. We are absolutely in love with our rescued chihuahua mix. Thank you to all the workers at Hope for Life Rescue.”
“Al-Anon is a fantastic fellowship for friends & families of alcoholics. We learn how to live a happy life. We went on a tour today of the World Service Office (WSO). Our guide made us feel at home
We learned so much & met most of the workers - all of which were as friendly as our guide.
I'm so glad we went.”
“Before things go into our trash and city dumps loads of stuff off at the Goodwill. This gives people the chance to find those hidden treasures. Unlike traditional thrift stores that are becoming more expensive and unfair in the handling of items for second hand . This gives a different option with prices that are equal no matter the name on the item . Tables are filled with different items example household , toys , books , shoes , purses . Basic items. . with stable prices that don't change . Or exceed the value of second hand things .
I didn't see any big items furniture jewelry vacuums bikes ect . I do think that most of those are purged before coming to Goodwill.
If you have kids and looking for an affordable price that won't change . Clothes are by weight shoes by pair books per book. Household by weight .
The second. Hand stores over the past few years have turned them into major profits and forgetting the reason for the store. To help prevent trash . To help people afford things they might not otherwise be able too,and to give back . Those things are lost to a time that put others needs over profit and gain .
My only concern is if clothes are by weight it doesn't take much to get a single pound of clothing . I just found this place and will be exploring more and update my review as it fits”
“You know you are in the presence of God. The history of how 700 Club came to be is amazing. Robertson was my spiritual Dad. When visiting, I felt like I was home. His wife DeeDee was a kind & gentle lady. Miss them both. Much love to continuing the legacy of what God is doing g there.”
“I was here for a month in 2014 when I was twelve. The first night was hard due to the reason I was there which I'm not going to go into. The staff were very nice and it was a safe place to stay. They always made sure I was up in time to get on the school bus in the morning. We all had chores to tend to in the evenings after dinner which provided a sense of structure. We went on outings so we weren't cooped up on the shelter. I commented on how beautiful the neighborhood was, and one of the staff drove me around to admire the scenery. Believe it or not, I wanted to go back after I left.”
“Amazing non-profit working to advocate for families of the mentally ill. Their support groups and educational programs are excellent. This all volunteer organization is working to reduce the stigma of mental illness and to lobby for change. I can't say enough how helpful this organization has been to our family.”
“Easy drop off experience, friendly staff. Organized inside, but dressing rooms are very dirty, even within an hour after opening. Wish they were vacuumed. It turned me away from trying clothes on.”

“Great! This was a fun activity for us! All of these athletes story’s are amazing and truly should he honored. This place does the job in honoring them. Initially we came here to find a volleyball exhibit. Unfortunately that was the one sport that we couldn’t find. But all of these other amazing sports made up for it. I would recommend coming here. Five emojis that describe my experience are… ?????”

“I know that generally you review a place for a service provided, however in this case, I would like to review the staff that collects the donations for this great organization. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. We have been donating here for years and have never had an experience where they seem ungrateful.”
“I can’t say enough good things about Ping Pong for Charity!!! Not only do they have the BEST annual Slamfest every October but they raise so much money for lots of worthy charities! Brain health is important to so many and they’ve found truly the most amazing way to raise awareness and raise the FUN level of any room they are in! Thank you for all you do!!!”
