L.L.Bean is a great store with great quality, extremely durable clothing and products, like backpacks that hold up for over a decade. The customer service is phenomenal and great; workers go out of their way to help. It is nice to see products in person to ensure proper fit. However, the Lynnhaven location has no separate men’s or women’s dressing rooms, only one shared area, which is dismissive and inconsiderate of women, making it uncomfortable and unsafe. Some find the store confusing and not very professional, with unhelpful staff and unclear sales signs. Clothes are pricey, and in-store sizes range from XS to 20, with more sizes available online.
Great customer service! I came in with a raincoat that lost the waterproof property and walked out with a new raincoat in 15 minutes. LL Bean stands behind their products.

Great clothes, AVOID THEIR CREDIT CARD!!!!! The L.L.Bean credit card is run by CitiBank. They have a poor reputation on-line for refusing to refund fraudulent unauthorized purchases and for very slow (2 month) processing whether or not they refund. Perhaps if you only use the card for purchases from L.L.Bean.
