Best Western Williamsburg Historic District offers a generally comfortable and convenient stay for visitors. The staff is consistently described as friendly and professional, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are kept clean, with comfortable beds, although some guests noted that the building appears outdated and could benefit from updates such as new furniture and fresh carpets. The hotel features a pool that is clean and warm, providing a nice recreational option. Breakfast includes basic hot food like eggs and sausage, along with bread, bagels, coffee, and juice; while it is considered sufficient for starting the day, some guests felt it lacked variety. However, the hotel has faced issues with pests, including cockroaches, which affected some guests' experiences despite staff's efforts to address the problem. Other reported concerns include outdated bathroom fixtures, a stuffy lobby and hallway, and a laundry area that was out of order. The hotel's location is praised for being very safe and close to attractions like Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Overall, while some guests encountered minor inconveniences, many appreciated the friendly staff, cleanliness, and the value provided for the price, making it a decent choice for travelers seeking a simple, affordable stay.
For the two nights we stayed - elevator was broken, ice marker on our floor was broken, no tissues in bathroom, tub leaked and didn’t drain properly, toilet was lose. $35 to check in at 2pm so we checked in at 9:30 for no charge. Breakfast was okay.

Attendant was unfriendly. Pool was unusable because it's in a separate outdoor enclosure and it was too cold to swim. Attendant said it was heated but you certainly couldn't tell. Way too expensive fee for pets!
