“We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and everything felt well maintained. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The location was convenient for getting around, and we really appreciated the quiet, relaxing atmosphere after long days out. Breakfast offered plenty of choice and was fresh and tasty. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience and we would happily stay here again and recommend it to others. Maite was such a sweet host and helped us get situated in a timely manner.”

“My daughter and I stayed here for one night during a road trip, and it was a wonderful experience. It was my daughter’s birthday, and upon request the host arranged cupcakes and candles at the breakfast table. The entire house was beautifully decorated, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious, cooked by the host's daughter. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and truly appreciated the warm hospitality.”

“Awesome hotel room it's not just one big room with a smaller room at the bathroom it's more like a bigger room that has the kitchen and the living room and then two bedrooms there's two bathrooms one has a tub and a shower the other one just has a shower the master bathroom has a whole separate room that the toilets in the other room sadly is not directly connected to the bathroom but is across the hall from it there's also nice painting on the wall
Thanks to our friends from church for letting us borrow some of their points to stay here for Spring Break. This was a truly awesome Hotel experience and historical experience.

“Located in the middle of everything. Great location. You can hear the horse and carriage on the street. You can see up and down Duke of Gloucester St. It is very nice to take a walk around the colonial area at night. I have also stayed in the Chiswell Bucktrout House and the location of the Market Square Tavern Room is MUCH better. Staff at the Williamsburg Inn are always top notch. Rooms are a bit quirky and that is too be expected but the shower in the room was a bit too much.”

“Delightful & Detail!! Bassett is a Great Price/Locale/Clean/Quiet under the care of kind caretakers, who give attention to detail for safe/clean, comfortable stay for best price!! Here for vacation, I moved from another lodging where sanity and sanitation were at issue (days inn, 119 bypass) - there is a pattern of issues. At the Bassett, everything great. The attention to comfort and details are shown thought care - like using spaces for patio sitting, a pollinating and veggies garden, and caring for birds & butterflies. It is called a personal touch - reminding me of someone who cares about their property, their residents, and themselves. HIGHLY recommend a visit to Bassett while in Williamsburg!!!!

“The rooms are typically very good and have amazing rates for the amenities you get at the resort. I’ve only had issues with a shower drain one time.
The service is mostly good. Everyone is very nice and professional, but I once was not able to check in until 6:00 PM.
The location is so beautiful, and being on the James River is so cool. At the same time, it’s a 15 minute drive to downtown CW due to the lengthy drive in the Kingsmill residential area.”

I stayed here for a week with my partner, and its the best youre gonna get for a cheap 2-star motel. We didnt have any concerning bugs in our room, and the beds are very comfortable (with the exception of the comforter – the comforter cover was super confusing and had a massive hole in it).
The tall guy who works mornings was extremely nice, and the motel is in a convenient, walkable spot! They also welcome guests under the age of 21. Other motels in the area do not.
The shorter white man who works night shifts was a little creepy; he is very specific about guest parking (all visitors MUST park up front), which is very reasonable, but he did argue with me and accused me of lying over a small misunderstanding. Just have any visitors park up front and you'll be fine.”

“EXCELLENT front desk staff, take the level of this hotel up a notch. Fairly basic rooms, but clean and functional. Good location with easy access to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. We were there with a soccer team for a tournament and they handled our needs well. The staff were especially friendly and personable and created a feeling like a B&B by showing sincere interest in each guest. It was the difference between an impersonal, adequate stay and feeling like the hotel was home base during our stay.”

“Pretty good experience overall. Had a hot tub in the room, there was a gross smell when we got there, but I think it was just someone’s leftover food, which then went away. If you want a pool, this one isn’t very big. I wouldn’t bring my kids here, but for me and my other half it was fine.”

“Great rates, decent furniture although bed a little soft, nice shower. Breakfast was simple. Only issues I had in my end unit was wi-fi barely reached and door would not lock shut easily. Better than older motels in town i have used for about the same price. I'll be back”

“Service was great staff is kind and friendly. Location is great going to either Busch Gardens or Water Country or both! Close to many restaurants, and shopping if need be. Room needs work. Our bathroom door knob didn't work had to twist it just to get it to stay shut multiple times. Lock was broke. Toliet flushing also broke but worked. Light fixtures broke didn't have bulbs. Outlets not installed correctly and ceiling falling apart allover floor. Also needs to be cleaned better there was food and stuff all around floor. Breakfast had eggs, pancakes ,sausage, potatoes , toast, cereal, yogurt muffins and juices.”
