“I came to the nursery in search of some native shrubs to plant for my mom as a retirement gift. Dede directed me to some lovely red flowering currants, which were carry-overs from the previous season, so they were actually being clearances out. Fantastic experience! Covington Creek Nursery will continue to get my business.”

“I love K & A Landscape Supply! The owner is amazing—super friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. It's clear they care about both their customers and their business.

The employees are great as well. They're efficient, hardworking, and quick to load whatever materials you need. The prices are very fair, and the quality of the products is excellent.

I highly recommend K & A Landscape Supply to anyone looking for great service, quality materials, and a team that truly cares about its customers!”

“How have I lived here for so long and not known about this place. Definitely a gem. A free bonsai exhibit and a separate area (need to pay for this part) that has green houses, trails, benches and an area with rhododendrons for purchase. A must see for any outdoor enthusiast or just for a peaceful afternoon.”

“10/10 for all things Christmastime! We were looking for nearby spots to take our 1.5 year old to see Santa and the "Burien Mom's Group" on Facebook suggest ZHN. We had never been before. Had no expectations and had a hard time finding out details aside from days/times Santa would be there. Showed up (first weekend in Dec) and NO ONE was there for Santa, zero line. We took our time, Santa gave our daughter a candy cane. Photos are free, taken on your phone, but donations are encouraged and go towards the City. The set up is gorgeous (better than a mall) and Santa was the real thing! It was so lovely to not stress with a crowd and waiting and being rushed. They also let your kiddo choose a free Xmas book from a library of donated books. We then wandered around, picked out ornaments (their selection is honestly unbeatable and worth stopping by just to browse). Went back for a second visit today for our tree! Prices for a locally-owned nursery are SO reasonable (trees, ornaments, etc). Santa was there again, no line, but our daughter didn't want to visit him again haha. Even so, they gave us chocolate chip cookies and another free Xmas book! Everyone that works at the nursery is insanely nice and helpful. Literally greeting you as you enter. My husband and I are SO happy we found this gem.”

“I stopped in to buy some flowers for my daughters birthday, and what I brought home was a beautifully arranged bouquet of fresh flowers that lasted a very long time. I gave her an idea of what I wanted to spend and she had me pick out a few flowers. She then made an impressive arrangement complete with a balloon, vase, and stuffed animal. She did it all while I waited!!

We got so many compliments on the flowers as they sat at our dining room table over the next few weeks. We will definitely be going back for all of our local flower needs.”

“The directions on google making it harder than it needs to be. Okay, this place, looks a little rough around the edges, but, they are so nice and helpful, and they have a lot of stuff to check out! Great, easy experience, will return!”

“Well, customer service was really good. And prices were relatively fair. I have noticed a difference when you go to areas of the store. And it seems that specialists, now that around do not know a lot about some of the products or how to use them or install them. Just seems like there has been a big drop in that knowledge in the store going on for the past few years. I'm not saying the store is not a good place to shop. And I'm not saying that the employees do not offer great customer service, but to lack of knowledge Or experience has shown compared to what it used to be.”

“Higashi Nursery is an absolute gem and hands-down the best place to find a Japanese maple. The selection is incredible, far beyond what you’ll find at Home Depot, Lowe’s, or even local nurseries, which mostly carry stock from Monrovia. The trees here are noticeably healthier, better shaped, and clearly cared for with love and precision.

This nursery is run by a kind Japanese woman who, at 71, still tends to every tree by hand. She and her husband immigrated from Japan in 1974, and he personally hand-grafted every tree before retiring. While they no longer graft, she continues to grow new maples from seed and shares her deep knowledge generously, guiding us on everything from soil mix to watering schedules.

If you’re local to Seattle, it’s absolutely worth the trip. Just make sure you bring a truck or van, along with plastic bags and string to secure your trees. They accept cash and card, but there are no returns or guarantees, so follow her advice closely. This is not just a nursery, it’s a labor of love. Don’t miss the chance to get a truly special Japanese maple before she retires or sells the property.”

“Never had a bad experience here, staff have always been very helpful and pointing me in the right directions of new sales that I'm looking for that are on the end caps. Military discount is applied to most items, but not everything in store. I don't understand why numerous companies hand pick which items will get a Military discount and others will not, but it's not the end of the world. Have found the dedicated parking for veterans a BEAUTIFUL thing, as sometimes the place is packed and it saves me from having to walk extremely far to where I'm trying to shop in. I recommend this location as a place to shop, as you will always get/find what you need extremely quickly.”

“Our second time ordering flowers. Such a beautiful arrangement for my mother's grave. We ordered an arrangement for my father to celebrate his birthday in late January (Seahawks request) and they were perfect! The flower arrangements are wonderful. Thank you for amazing service.”

“5 out of 5 stars, Solid Pricing and service. Burien Sand and Gravel is my go to for Gravel for my outdoor projects. I haven't used their soil yet, so I cannot rate on the quality. For Drainage gravel washed and minus were perfect for my outdoor landscape projects. I recommend doing your research first on their website and go in knowing what you want to get the best service (quantity in Cu Yards, type of soil/gravel etc.)”

“Make sure you check on who's doing the work and stay involved in whatever home Depot touches not saying it's going to be a bad job but the more you're involve the more the worker feels that they are going to be checked up on and want to do a good job no cut corners and I saw that follow through just words of advice.”

“We been going to Double 4 Tree Farm since 1999 when we moved here. It's our annual tradition every year to select on first Saturday in November and cut and bring home the
day after Thanksgiving. We even decorate our tree when we select it. Fun time for our family. It's our favorite place during the holiday season.”

“I swung by one Saturday afternoon on the way home from the Enumclaw Sales Pavilion. I needed a few boards to finish building a cage for the critters I'd just acquired at auction, & some hardware too. Their staff were friendly, polite, & helpful. Since this isn't my normal Home Depot store I didn't know where anything was located. They happily answered my questions of where I could find the items I needed.”

“I'm Happy! Tropical Canna plants finally arrived, after an early cold Spring. Called yesterday and was connected to Dennis in the Garden Department at the Tukwila store. He was very pleasant, and as he was walking through the yard, asked other sales agents for the Tropical Canna. Excitedly, he informed me they had "lots" of them and remarked, yes, beautiful red leaves. I was in the store an hour later; purchased 6 (and other plants!) This year, all the plants looked healthy!! Unfortunately, Dennis was not available for me to give my Thanks; so please extend my Thanks for me!Sallie”

“Rented a aerator and thatcher. I was told I could not use the U-Haul trailer that had already been rented. Because of some insurance issues they had in the past. After getting a manager involved and pointing out a customer loading the same equipment onto a makeshift trailer of plywood and metal frame and two little tiny tires. The manager gave his approval.”

“I live in Covington and go to this home depot for many different things: paint, repairs, yard work. Overall, I like it. It's clean and well stocked. My wife loves their selection of plants here. I would say the biggest downside to this store is to find a person who can help if you have questions.”

“I had an amazing experience at the The Home Depot thanks to Angela! We originally purchased a defective product, but she went completely above and beyond to make it right.

Angela not only replaced the item, but upgraded it for us and gave us multiple options to choose from. She took her time, made sure we understood everything, and genuinely cared that we left the store happy.

Customer service like this is rare—Angela turned a frustrating situation into a great experience. We left completely satisfied and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!”

“Over the last 10 years of living within about 15 miles of this The Home Depot, I’ve genuinely appreciated having this location nearby. The people who work here have consistently been kind, receptive, and helpful, and that level of customer care matters more than people realize.

A special thank you to Ian, who happened to be at the right place at the right time and helped me load items into my vehicle. It may seem like a small act, but those moments of willingness and kindness leave a lasting impression and speak volumes about the culture of helpfulness within this store.

Truthfully, all Home Depots are near and dear to my heart because of the way they continue to support both professionals and veterans through the special offerings, resources, and appreciation they provide. As a veteran, that recognition and support does not go unnoticed and is deeply appreciated.

This Home Depot has become more than just a place to purchase supplies — it has been a dependable and appreciated part of the community experience. Thank you to the team for continuing to show professionalism, patience, kindness, and genuine willingness to help throughout the years.”
