“I was in desperate need of shoes while visiting Bainbridge. I have unusually-shaped feet which make finding shoes tricky and I tend to put it off as long as possible. Nancy was unbelievably helpful every step of the way. She was thorough and careful to get me accurate measurements and gave very knowledgeable recommendations. She absolutely went the extra mile. Not only did she find me the right shoes, due to the rain and the hour, she took the time to personally help us get to dinner accomodations. This store and the ladies who work there are all absolute gems.”

“We love our local running store! We bought a pair of running shoes for my 14 year old son that after a few runs unfortunately gave him blisters. We brought the shoes back looking for advice on how to heal the blister. Both the sales associate (Isaac) and owner (Lori) took time to try and figure out why the shoes had given my son blisters. After examing the shoes and asking my son questions, it was determined that he was getting a new pair of shoes. I really appreciated the time, patience and kindness Lori and Isaac put into talking to my son and fitting him for new shoes.”

“Local gem of a women's clothing store. New styles and all sizes in weekly. I bought an outfit for my Mom's birthday, she lives out of state and loved it. The lady serving us is about the same size as my Mom and she kindly tried on the jacket to be sure the fit was right. That's pretty cool! They give you money off your next purchase when you spend a minimum amount. I liked that. Came back again within a couple weeks time to shop for myself and my daughter.”

An employee at this shop was so helpful in walking my neurodivergent kid through all his options, and answered his questions and also pointed out what was on sale. “I made my first visit to Market Street Shoes yesterday, and I will absolutely be a repeat customer! I felt welcomed and attended to as soon as I walked in. I was surprised and excited to see that the shop also had a wonderfully curated clothing selection! I wear a US women’s 12-14; often, small shops like Market Street Shoes won’t have options for me. There ended up being plenty of colorful, fun garments for me to try on!When Kelsey saw I had my hands full of clothes, she was quick to start a dressing room while I kept browsing. After I’d been in the room for about 5-7 minutes, Danelle came over and asked how I was doing. I was trying on a dress that made me feel so beautiful. When I showed Danelle what I was trying on, she gave me a big smile and said, ‘I can tell you something looks great, but it really matters how you feel in it, and I can tell you feel really good. It looks made for you.’ When I was finished with clothes, a third shop attendant (who’s name I didn’t get, but she was wearing a wonderful 80s-inspired neon-punk jacket and awesome red triangle earrings) offered to keep the dress behind the counter while I kept shopping.Danelle continued to help me as I started to look at shoes. She was knowledgeable, kind, and gave me great options for the footwear needs I communicated with her! She also helped me figure out that, lo and behold, the reason I’ve been having foot pain is because I’ve been wearing the wrong shoe size! I have a wide toe box and have been compensating for that by sizing up at shoe stores. Danelle heat-widened a pair of adorable leather orange sandals for me. She was super quick when grabbing my size options from the back, and communicated with her team when the LAST pair of a shoe in my size was playing hard to get in the stockroom. It was great to see the team members supporting each other when the shop had a steady amount of traffic soon after opening!I ended up getting three new pairs of shoes. I started breaking in a pair yesterday, and my feet are already feeling so much happier! When checking out, Danelle made sure to get my basic info to start tracking by purchase history. She also let me know that after getting 12 full-price items, I get 25% off! After chatting with me at the counter while bagging my shoes and tissue-paper-wrapped dress, Danelle gave me a very warm farewell.I likely would’ve been a repeat customer because of the clothes and shoes, but I will DEFINITELY be returning because of the wonderful experience I had with Danelle and the rest of the Market Street Shoes staff.
