“Support small local businesses! Wonderful little store with excellent deli. We have vacation property in the Gorge and stop in here whenever we are passing by. Beer etc would be cheaper at the Safeways etc in Hood River or The Dalles but prefer to stop in here to support the locals. Only the last 5 years has it been "Brenna's" but the store has been here for decades and we have always gone in over 40 years for some "treats". Great people working inside. Please stop by while exploring, might see something that catches your eye!”
“Solid post-hike sandwiches. The house hot sauce was phenomenal. The lavender kombucha was also very good. Sadly I didn’t get the Mount Hood view in the back patio, but it was still a great day.”
“Bone broth to-go in coffee cups, free lesser evil popcorn with purchase of grab-n-go wraps, amazing in-house chewy granola bars, interesting kombucha… some nice little surprises & we were set up for our hike!”
“Y'all know I'm from Texas so just walking into the store hits me in the feels. Their service, and selection are way above expectations. You know what's not? Their prices. White people, if you haven't shopped there yet, you should. Thank you Guadalajara Team! Raven Rutherford”
“I only wish I can afford to shop here. I have bought some things occasionally because they do have great meat, produce.
I'm extremely impressed with Michael (I believe that's his name) who works the recycling. He is top notch! Very professional, courteous and makes sure it's clean! Enforces the limit rule to all the people who try to cheat the system (mostly immigrants) ! Those people ruin alot of our (USA born natives)resources by breaking rules that push companies to eliminate that resource. Michael deserves more praise and respect ( and a nice wage increase/ bonus)”
“This is a great place to stop for gas. Their prices are always better than anyone else’s in the area. They also have a convenience store and the people that work there are always very nice and fun to talk with.”
“Small, reasonably priced, friendly, local market. Has the basics: milk, bread, baking supplies, canned goods, plus some fruit and veg. LOTS of spices, Latina specialty items (sauces, fruit juice, soda, sweets, cookies.....), kitchen items, baked goods, etc. Definitely a store for cooks! This is the closest market to my home and I'll be going there often.”
“If you’re looking for a grocery stop, there’s a small local store right at the intersection — super convenient. We grabbed water and snacks, everything we needed for the hike.”
“I bought chicken strips for my grandson and he normally he eats one or two....today he took two bites and handed it back to me..I took a bite and the flavor was bad and it had a weird smell. I returned to the store with the chicken for a refund. Shanti and Ellie were so nice and said no problem. They were both great and understanding. Personally I think the oil was the issue. Normally the chicken is good tasting for my grandson.”
“My mother and I went gluten free about 5 years ago, and my partner has needed to go dairy free in the last year. When this first happened we had no idea where to start, what to eat and where to shop. We’ve been shopping here since, and we always find new things to try, and the prices are decent! Today was the best visit so far, the staff was so kind, especially Justin! He overheard us disappointed about a lack of product and instantly came to help us, he checked the back, and when they didn’t have it, offered to order in a case that not only would last us longer, but was a better deal overall! So thankful for this store, and the staff! Such positive and helpful energy! Thank you huckleberry hood river!”

“I decided to do a new review on this place, now that I regularly go to this store, I am grateful that it is open 24/7 for nothing else in the area is open very late. They recently opened up their gas pumps, and it is right there as you come off the Hood River Bridge toward White Salmon Washington. The staff are always friendly. You can purchase a fishing license, get bait, and load up on snacks. Oh, and did I mention OPEN 24/7!!”
“I needed some supplies and food for my wedding ceremony in White Salmon! I was not disappointed! They had a big inventory. I was able to get everything I went there for! Nice staff, also.”

“I went into the store to buy a burner phone. I ended up buying a burner phone a new iPhone and signing up for a new service plan saving me money on my monthly bill with better service. Thank you so much to Lilli M for helping me. Without her bringing the deal to my attention and then holding my hand setting up service on my new device it wouldn’t have happened. Lilli earned this 5 star review.”
“We love coming to this safeway!! Kiffie is one of our favorites to see when coming in she's always super helpful and kind!! Definitely recommend this safeway!”
“I was recently in the Bingen Dollar General store needing just birthday candles on my way to a granddaughter's birthday dinner and I have great difficulty walking right now, so I asked the cashier where the candles were and they were quite a distance from the front of the store, so I asked her if she could go grab some for me. She did! Saved me from hobbling and spared me more physical pain in my hip. Great customer service! 👍”
