“John at Mercer Wines recommended we try the stellar focaccia at the Wine Country Store/Chevron, and I have to say - we were floored. For only $2, you get a nearly brick-sized cloud of flavorful, salted focaccia - not too oil-soaked, but just heavenly. We also got a huge $12 roasted turkey and housemade pimiento cheese sandwich that my husband and I split. We’re from the South, so pimiento cheese (pronounced pah-men-uh) is a local delicacy about which we are very picky. This one was wonderful, and I’m not positive, but it seemed to have some shredded fresh onion blended in with the cheese. Absolutely divine. I highly recommend stopping in!”
