“Grocery outlet is great! I always end up spending way more than I planned. Luckily, things really are discounted nicely, which is probably why I think it's ok to keep grabbing stuff and putting it in my cart, kinda like when the dollar store was a actually a dollar for their merch. Anyway, Grocery Outlet carries a lot of healthy items you won't see everywhere else, and specialty items as well. Some things come, and some things go and you may never see them again, but it's how they make room for all the new and different stuff that comes in, I suppose. Really good deals. One time, I got an excellent coffee creamer, regular size, for like 42 cents a container! I bought a lot of them. That's not common, but it happened. They have pretty good specialty stuff too. I love their household items! I've gotten cool rugs and towels, really different designs n cool as heck! They have kitchen stuff and a few things for the car like trunk organizers and I recently bought a padded seat that heats up. Doesn't get super hot, but my tush doesn't need to be on fire, so that's fair. It was only 20 bucks too! Works fine, the seat and the back heat up a bit but only in the middle. Hey for $19.99, it works for me! Actually it's for my cat when I take him on car trips. Lol So, I highly recommend Grocery Outlet. It's got a lot of food stuff, and non-food stuff like markers and outdoor decorations, especially fit the holidays, and just different unrecorded things that are cool and you didn't know you had to have it until you saw it! It's very fun, and less expensive than most stores.”

“Went in today and everyone that worked there was super friendly and helpful. 8 ears of corn 5lbs broccoli 9 lemons 3 limes 3lbs cherries 6 fat plantains 5 avocados 1 pineapple 1 of the fattest cucumbers All good quality produce for $48. The pineapple was ready to be cut open same-day, the cherries were bomb. They cut the corn on the cob for me. They have such great customer service. I’m happy with the new ownership.”

“First off I'll just start by saying I am American and not from the middle east. However I've been on a middle eastern food kick lately, trying all kinds of different things and making some new recipes. There are several shops along Pacific Hwy that sell various types of middle eastern foods. I tried this place tonight because they make pizza and kabobs. They are both excellent. The pizza is unlike any other flavors I've tried before, yet still familiar enough to most American style pizzas. It came with ketchup which I found interesting and wouldn't typically use this condiment on pizza, however on this particular pizza I just added a little and it was surprisingly good actually. Somehow the tanginess of the ketchup went with this pizza. Really amazing flavors all around. Perfectly cooked dough, nice and chewy on the crust with lots of crispy bits of cheese. The kabobs are filling my whole car and house with good smells right now. These are not the same as typical kabobs you might find at a middle eastern style food truck. These are Chapli Kebabs and they are flat, burger shapped patties rather than chunks of meat that are cooked on a skewer. Comes with nice freshly baked bread, very soft and saw lots of people coming into the store just to buy this bread as well. They have a pretty good selection of all kinds of other random stuff and lots of dried fruits and nuts as well as some Lebanese style cheeses, homemade yogurt, homemade pickles and other things. I don't think Americans typically shop here but they were very kind towards me. You will have to ask them about ordering the food as there really was no menu or anything that I saw. I think most people going here already know what they have/want type of situation, so I'm posting pics of what I ordered just for reference. Seriously good food and kind people!”

“The smell of freshly baking bread is a delight. They've got a tandoor and when you buy some of the Afghan bread he pulls you a fresh one out of the tandoor that is piping hot. They've got some spices, raisins, currants, and nuts for sale too. Their grocery selection is a bit sparse and their hours are seemingly erratic but the bread is delicious and the baker seems to be a nice fellow. The price for the bread is pretty cheap as well.”

“LOVE this place! I buy all of my coffee sweeteners here. They have such an amazing variety of flavors. Their prices are amazing. They regularly have sales on them. The people who work there are always super nice and happy to help. There is an enormous and spacious parking lot. There is always somewhere to park. A location couldn't be more convenient. I love the people over at the US chef store on 72nd, but I feel so much safer at this location. There's lots of people. There's the road right there with lots of traffic. It's great. The aisles are super spacious. They have carts that work for both hauling heavy items and then carts for your smaller shopping. It was not difficult to find a cart either. There were plenty of them. Probably cuz they're not getting stolen here but it's nice. I like shopping here. They accept debit cards and credit cards here.”
“During the power outage, a neighbor shared that 214th going north around the lake was open. I needed a few things so decided to run to Haggens. As Inlet Island was powerless and it often is 2 or 3 days or more with a storm this powerful. What a beautiful store! During the storm aftermath they had a lot of staff, shelves full and the deli was cooking. Looked like a lot of people had been there before me! There were scattered shoppers all over the store. Staff in various areas helping find products and a couple of cash registers open. Thank You! I was able to get 3 to 4 days of meals and some basics. We weren't out as long as usual, but what a stress relief!”

Also, the health food items here are what income for and the savings I get is incredible. Somewhere around a 40% savings on buying the products somewhere else. I buy my mushroom powders here, collagen, gluten free products and supplements as well as beauty products that are clean, with less harmful ingredients. Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.
Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
