“Love this place. I walked in with a vintage overcoat and the owner excitedly talked me through the material make-up, the fact that it has a union tag (so apparently that means it was manufactured before 1982 in the US!), how to replace the lining, etc. he told me how his cleaning materials would interact with my coat, gave me a quote, and encouraged me to look around to make sure I am good with his quote. I’m definitely coming back!”

“It does the job! People are helpful and it’s a decent place. I think it needs a bit more warmth to it, some comfort…more seating, there’s not much of it.The location is great, a lot of food and other stuff around. Brewery right down the way! At least my stuff can be left there while I have a beer and it’s safe.”

“First time visiting and I was 50¢ short to start my laundry on the XL washer. After returning with the money, I was surprised to see that the worker had start it for me! I kindly paid her the 50¢ but that small act saved me a bunch of time!”

“My sister recommended this place for tailoring/alterations and I had a wonderful experience. The owner did a rather difficult alteration on my maid of honor dress and it came out perfect. Very reasonable price for the work and turn around time is great!”

“4 stars = enthusiastic reviewAfter Northgate Cleaners, I wasn’t so eager to try another dry cleaner. Additionally, the row of stores Cotton Cleaners & Tailors is in is a little sketch, tbh. But I finally decided I’d stalled long enough. The cleaners was a little small when I walked in. There was a woman with a kindly aspect at a sewing machine to the side of the door and a gentleman hanging clothes further into the store, both working quietly. The woman stopped working shortly after I arrived and went around to the counter. Influenced by the calm atmosphere, I politely showed her my items. A wrinkled silk blouse (I think she gave a little appreciative murmur), an old wool sweater with some long-crusted trace of food on the cuff, and a merino wool sweater I wear to work.Showing her the work sweater, I took a moment to explain that the badge I wore had a rough clip on the side. When I had worn it around my neck the friction had caused some noticeable pilling over the breastbone, and I asked her if there was anything she could do. The woman disappeared briefly and came back with a device in her hand. (It looked a little like a hybrid between a Clarisonic face brush and a men’s electric razor.) She turned on the device and, with my sweater spread on the counter, brushed at the pilling so delicately I couldn’t detect any change at first. After a while I saw just a little of the pilling come away, and the woman checked with me to see if this met with my satisfaction. I was quite excited (truthfully, the pilling that had developed on my sweaters had been bothering me like a toothache) and responded in the affirmative. I gave my name and number, was informed I could pick up the clothing in less than a week and would pay at that time.Circumstances caused me to pick up my clothing a day late, but I was eager to see how they turned out. Everything was clean and pressed, and my work sweater was smooth like new. Altogether, I paid $28, and quite happily. I’ve taken more clothes there and will pick them up in a few days.Drop-off and pickup are easy, the people at the store (though I guess I’ve only interacted with one person so far) are attentive and pleasant, the atmosphere is calm and cozy, and the price is affordable. I really like this place!”

“I went here around 9pm when my regular laundromat was closed, this worked out very well for me. The place owners were very nice and helpful as well. Despite the machines being a bit difficult to figure out at first, they were relatively straight forward, would definitely go again!”

“Used to live just behind this business and used them often. I now live 20 minutes away and still come here for all my dry cleaning. Prices are consistently less than other places and they do a great job on the odd items like comforters and tables cloths. Service is always polite and never have to worry about getting a quick turn time.”

“Very clean. Kind staff. Bathroom to use. A little larger machine starting at $4.00 is what I saw and used. My load wasn't that big; but, the conditions of the machines are nice. I've been to this one before; and, this laundry mat I like; I'm sorry. I saw the machine only takes quarters? That's what I used.”

“Pretty good here. The machines take reloadable cards. It is clean and there is seating. They have lots of machines too. Seems also like the attendant are usually helpful.”
