“My father is works as a longshoreman and ever since I was a baby he has set aside a little bit of money each month for me in cases of emergency. For 27 years that account went untouched until my most recent visit back home when I lost my credit card and cell phone. Not wanting to wait until I came back to DC to get a new phone, I went with my dad to get money out of the the elusive "Longshoreman" account. This place rocks. In general, I am a big proponent of credit unions so that only adds to the kudos I give this place. It's located in the middle of nowhere but there is ample parking and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Not since my college days have I gone to a bank to withdrawal money (usually I just use my ATM card) and all I could remember of them were long lines and rude staff. Not here. The line went very quickly, as did my transaction. You have to have a family member involved in the Longshoremen union to have an account here so my suggestion would be to find one as this place rocks!”
