“I don't think I have ever met a mechanic who cares more about helping people than Shayne. After my car (2014 Subaru Impreza) started having a mysterious transmission issue at the start of a road trip, we managed to get it to Shayne's shop in Kelso since it was the closest one at the time. It was a holiday so when we arrived the shop was closed, but by a stroke of insane luck we happened to run into him having a yard sale out front of his shop. He was super flexible with me and my friends as we worked out what to do and how to get back to Portland. I ended up leaving my car with him and he found the issue (a different shop had messed up a differential service) and addressed it. What I paid even ended up being less than my original quote.
Shayne was very responsive to my messages, even outside of regular work hours, and had a lot of patience with me even though I'm sure I drove him nuts with the amount of questions I kept asking. Car trouble is always stressful and this was my first experience with a big mechanical issue. I'm very glad Shayne was the one who handled it because he made me feel supported and like I had someone on my side the whole time. If you ever have car trouble or just need regular service and you're in the Kelso area, I highly recommend going to Shayne. He is a man of outstanding character and I am beyond grateful for everything he did for me.”

“This is a slightly complicated review - if you don't want to read it all. My summary is - use ATS, you are in good hands.

1. I brought my old classic truck to ATS and had a 700r4 rebuilt and installed. Bryan went to great lengths to get my linkage going and I brought her home and put about 800 miles on it that summer.
2. Fast forward to the next season and I took it out for its first drive for the show season and I had no overdrive. I took it back to Bryan and he took care of it and covered it under warranty. Great experience. Put another 1000 miles on it!
3. The next winter I decided to swap the engine in the truck with an engine I bought used. Getting it back on the road I heard a horrible noise, because of the location of the sound, I assumed it was the transmission. Bryan had it towed up to them to get it checked out. Turns out the lower end has bad bearings and the noise was the lower end sliding back and rubbing against the starter bendix. So I took the truck home and pondered my options.
4. I ordered a BluePrint stroker motor through Summit and turns out I ordered the wrong tooth torque converter. Through a comedy of my own errors, Bryan helped me navigate the issue, got the new torque converter installed and I am no happily cruising my truck around!

I just have to say - Kelly and Bryan could quite easily be irritated with the amount of effort they've had to put in to my particular truck and issues. HOWEVER. They've been terribly gracious and always take great care of me. I can whole heartedly recommend you use them with confidence. Bryan stands behind his work. Kelly is great to work with.
