March l've been talking to a number of tailors.
Kane stood out the most not just because he really took the time to get to know me and my other half, but his attention to smallest details has just been incredibly helpful. I won't ruin the surprises we talked through, but i knew there and then that he was my guy. went to my first suit fitting yesterday and the experience was wonderful. I left the fitting so pumped and excited and I can't wait to see what comes up at the next fitting. Cheers Kane

“Such an amazing little shop. It’s small but full of great items. They have an assortment of caps, cards, shirts, keychains, local art, pins, and other assorted gifts and trinkets. We ended up finding a lot of stuff we loved here. The shop guy was super friendly but never overbearing or invasive, he was super chill and made us feel really welcome. There’s also a really cool mural in the art room!”

“I haven't been here in a few years so I thought I would stop in and I'm so glad I did. Apparently during my long hiatus, a new owner took over and made some fabulous changes. The atmosphere is a blend of hip and haute couture. There is everything you will need to be looking and feeling fab from head to toe. Whether you prefer timeless pieces or looking like you came from New York Fashion Week, Alexandra's has it. While perusing I noticed the usual suspects of luxury, Gucci, Chanel, and Prada. I also noticed some lesser known, up and coming designers who are certain to have a place in fashion history...Isabel Marant and Coperini. The staff member I spoke with was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, (and a great interior decorator)! I will definitely be back. Maybe I'll see you there!”

“Really beautiful clothing, the selection is unique to their store and great quality. I had the most enjoyable experience -- greeted by the owners who were lovely and genuinely helpful and interested, not overbearing. One of the nicer clothing boutiques in Seattle. Surprised to see reviews disappointed by the return policy - exchange/store credit is typical for almost all boutiques I shop with and, honestly, to be expected. Am definitely coming back and recco for anyone that loves boutique shopping!”
“Great selection of clothing but prices are on another level of expensive. Also, it'd be great if the staff were more knowledgeable about the historical significance of Eddie Bauer and the origination of puffer jackets. I'm pretty sure, based on what I learned at the Museum of History and Industry, that Eddie Bauer invented one of the original puffer jackets, and I think the store should celebrate that success more prominently. Eddie Bauer should tell its Seattle-based origination story more. There was a timeline display on the wall, but I think most people interpret it only as decorative art, and even the employees seem to read it for the first time when I asked them the puffer jacket question.”
“Wanted to shout out the amazing Ms. Cynthia as the light of my day! Walked into LB today with zero confidence that I would find something for an up coming interview. When asked was there a certain event that brought me in I did my normal “ no, I’m ok just looking” that I always do because I usually want to be left alone to find the some plain old things I always pick ??♀️ well not today! Ms. Cynthia swooped in and asked me all the right questions to get me to open up and with in minutes I was in a dressing room. I was trying on clothing I would have never picked out for myself! She is absolutely incredible at her job, she truly was a blessing in my life and the exact person I needed to meet today!! I left so happy with everything I didn’t know I needed and more!! “So sad to hear that Kuhlman is closing. For several years now whenever I pick up something new it's straight to Kuhlman to have Scott work his magic. He has keen eye, more than one person's fair share of skill and talent, and is always incredibly kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and I will be keeping an eye out to see if he ends up opening a smaller more tailoring specific (less retail oriented) operation here in Seattle. If you are looking for a skilled and trustworthy go-to tailor I recommend you do the same. If not, it has been my pleasure to be a patron of his business, and my wardrobe is certainly better off for it.”
