“This place is soooo EXCESSIVE! From technique to hospitality to general kindness, this place is way over the top. This is my favorite studio because the vibe is definitely there: feels like you’re among friends; however, they don’t act like friends when class begins. They are real teachers who support you where you’re at: whether a beginner who wonders what the “tuck” is or a veteran who is as skilled as the teacher. Sometimes though I wonder if this type of torture violates the Geneva Convention. I’ll look into that for you. True to form, this barre workout is especially great for the hip and seat complexes as well as for balance and coordination. But, most importantly for people most people, it’s CRAZY good for toning. Pure Barre reaches muscles no other workout can. Try it out but only at Pure Barre Geenlake (or University District.”

I've shopped here for years and the owner Karla is warm and has fantastic recommendations. The store has a variety of goodies ranging from apparel, jewelry, tarot decks (where I got my first!), books, self-care items, decadent snacks, to fun little additional surprises! I always feel like there's something new and interesting each time I go. In fact, one of my favorite shirts is from this store. Karla has an eye for local wares and clearly celebrates small business. Sometimes you even get to see her lil dog who is gentle and friendly! If you're in the area, you will love the cozy vibe of this store. Recommended!”

They have so many cute items from clothing to household goods, cards games and much more. They also offer products and support for cancer patients and survivors. I believe a portion of the money spent there supports Fred Hutch programs and they offer incredible support to patients, speaking from experience. I highly recommend checking them out.”

“Pipe and Row has become my go-to for quality investment pieces. There is a great variety of all cotton or all wool garments, layering pieces, and soft basics. I notoriously hate shopping for clothes in-person and tend to shop from one store year after year as exploring new styles can feel intimidating. However, Pipe and Row has completely changed that experience for me! I could rave about the curation all day long, but I also want to really highlight all of the people that work there and how grateful I am for their taste and recommendations so that i leave with the pieces that I love. G is such an absolute doll and pulled out maybe 10-15 pieces for me that were all SO fun, playful, and well curated. While waiting for the changing rooms, she held all of the pieces I picked so I could shop around and in the meantime grabbed other items in a similar style so that I could have more options to try on! I have always struggled to find jeans that I love so I was blown away when she pulled together 7-8 in different styles and it was such a stress-free experience, while getting her thoughtful perspective on what might pair well. G was so patient, so understanding when things were out of budget or not the right size, and immediately brought me new pieces that fit what I was looking for. And this has been my experience with every time that I've gone in -- staff with sharp taste, kind words, thoughtful recommendations, never with judgment and always with patience. He has keen eye, more than one person's fair share of skill and talent, and is always incredibly kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and I will be keeping an eye out to see if he ends up opening a smaller more tailoring specific (less retail oriented) operation here in Seattle. If you are looking for a skilled and trustworthy go-to tailor I recommend you do the same. “Peti boutique has such great and cute stuff. I love Magali's keen eye for fashionable and artsy stuff. It's pricey but it's supports small businesses, artisans, and is unique! Since she had so many stuff I loved I figured if I took the sewing class I would meet other people that love Peti boutique's style too. And I was right! The class was fun and I met some really nice people! Plus I got this super cute shirt I made. Surprisingly the shirt looked good on everyone despite having different body types. Recommend shopping here and maybe take a class or two just to mingle and learn! No experience necessary. Everyone was a beginner when I went.”
