Finally called Lee and came into his shop. Guaranteed same day repair for $150- it was no joke. Lee gave me a call a few hours later and I came in first thing the next morning. Two broken shanks repaired in less than 6 hours for $150; and Lee did a fantastic job. They fit better than before and I can’t even see the repair.

“I was not expecting to love this story so much. I really came for the coffee next door, but this was hard to miss from the second you walk in. It is immediately appealing. You can tell that the displays are well thought out with beautiful color theory and meaningful displays each item is carefully picked and you can tell. It’s not just a random store. It’s a store with purpose, intention, and art. You can find something there for everyone, but I love the most about it is that there are items that support locals, today I saw a laundry detergent that was made by a local! The owner has a good amount of staff working so there is plenty of help. Everybody was kind and not selective. This is especially important to me because wearing a scarf means that I’m visibly different from others and to be honest I was expecting to be mistreated or ignored because that’s what often happens when I go to stores, but it was the complete opposite here I enjoy the whole experience! And not to mention, I also found the most perfect polkadot skirt that I wish I could gatekeep, but that would be selfish of me! Highly recommend going here as a self-care day or just for anything that you need because I promise you, you will find something!”

“I’ve bought numerous hats from DM over the years. Mostly Akubra, but also a Panama and a couple from Tilley Endurables. Yes, I love hats.
My orders have always been shipped very fast (the last one shipped the same day!) and nobody packs hats better than DM. I’ve never had one damaged in transit, even with significant damage to the outer box.
DM is the best place in the US to buy an Akubra, since they are also Akubra’s distributor for North America and keep good stock.

“So my 14th wedding anniversary is quickly approaching and...well, yeah, I'm kind of scrambling as I usually like to have this sort of thing figured out months ahead of time. Anyways the symbolic gifts for the 14th wedding anniversary are ivory, opal and gold jewelry and since our first anniversary we've always used those traditional/modern symbols that go with each wedding year as gift ideas. Kinda makes it easy but sometimes we had to get creative. In this case I thought meh, gold jewelry should be simple enough, but at the same time it's so cliché and well, that's always been my fall back when I can't think of anything else. I did think of synthetic/fake ivory or maybe something with an elephant, but I didn't like anything I found and didn't want to settle. Then oddly enough I came across the name Ivory Jacks on one of those side advertisements probably due to the creepy interweb stalking of my Google searches. So of course rather than clicking the link I do my own online research of the company, found their website and went from there. I asked my questions, they answered promptly. Apparently they use ivory from fossil mastodon/wooly mammoth tusks. So genuine ivory, just not from the illegal poaching of elephants. Well, after a few days of asking questions, going through their website, more online research I decided to pull the trigger and order a genuine ivory ring. And within a few days I had the perfect 14th wedding anniversary present for my wife! Though I never spoke to anyone, they were very good at answering my questions through their website and email, I found their website informative, ordering process easy, they shipped quickly, and the ring is very cool. Hoping the wifey feels the same way. On top of that they are a local small business which I do love to support when and where I can. So if you are in the market for a unique gift with actual history(I mean how cool and unique is fossil mammoth ivory) I would look into Ivory Jacks eco conscious Jewelry. They make more than rings BTW.”

Erika was absolutely wonderful to work with. She took the time to answer all of our questions and was incredibly patient as she showed me different ring styles and diamond sizes while I felt like a kid in a candy store!
