I came out to my car with fluid EVERYWHERE and it completely undrivable. I was in tears, overwhelmed, and trying to figure out what I was supposed to do next with four kids in tow. From the very beginning, they stepped in and guided me through everything — helping coordinate towing, explaining what was happening, keeping me updated, and somehow getting my car diagnosed, repaired, and back up and running in ONE DAY, basically at the drop of a hat.
Aaron, the owner, was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, communicative, straightforward, and made sure I understood what was going on instead of making me feel clueless or like I was just another repair ticket. Jason was equally incredible and basically held my hand through the entire process while I was freaking out. He was patient, reassuring, explained everything in a way that actually made sense, and made sure I was completely good to go before sending me on my way.
As a single mom with four kids, suddenly losing my vehicle isn’t just inconvenient — it can throw our entire life into chaos. They may not realize how much it meant to me to have people simply say, essentially, “We’ve got you. We’ll figure this out,” and then actually follow through.
They were fast, kind, professional, communicative, and incredibly accommodating during a moment when I desperately needed someone to make one problem easier instead of harder. Getting my car back on the road that quickly was genuinely a saving grace for my family.

“I own two old Toyota pickups: a 1988 and a 1996. The 1996 had a severe oil leak at the oil pump drive shaft. I took it to three different mechanics, but none of them were willing to work on it, claiming it would be easier to replace the engine. The last mechanic suggested I bring the truck with a trailer and drive it straight to the junkyard.
However, I brought it to Kip, and he knew how to fix it without pulling the engine. He did it in no time for only a few hundred dollars.
Since then, I’ve had Kip work on both trucks extensively because he’s knowledgeable about what needs to be done and what doesn’t. There are many things to work on, but he only fixes what’s necessary and doesn’t try to upsell me into doing more than I ask.
I don’t even bother asking for a quote anymore because I know he’ll be fair and less expensive than a larger shop.
Joan, the office manager, is great at returning calls and keeping me informed about the progress of the job.
I’ve referred two friends to PKE, and both have had positive experiences.

The person in charge of answering calls and messages, was so kind and communicative all the time, he worried about repairing my truck quickly for me to spend Christmas with my family. “My classic mustang was rear ended. It had been restored 30 years ago. I was worried about paint match and striping. Andy's was not able to get it in right away but got it started when they said they would. They did a fantastic job. There were reflective factory stripes that had to be custom made, and specific paint for the deck lid. Their work was spot on. They worked with the insurance company so I didn't have to pay anything for the body work. I also had them look at the carburetor that had been worked in previously but still wasn't quite right. Because of their deep knowledge of mustangs they were able to spot the incorrect part the previous shop used and get the car running like a top! I would recommend them to everyone needing classic mustang repairs.”
