“Fair prices, super friendly staff, and lots of options available.
Don’t feel bad about shopping here. Dollar General unfortunately has a stronger market presence and thus has better negotiated shipping rates resulting in lower prices.
Normally in this case, I would still shop local in support of the community. However, the problem is that our locally owned grocery stores are known for price gouging during the tourist season; higher than what’s called for by the increased shipping rates (aka, they’re seeking higher profit margins at the expense of the community).
In this case, I would recommend shopping here if budget savings is your main goal. You will come across smaller packages than typical, so just keep that in mind.
This store also offers a wide selection of high value off-label brands such as Clover Valley.”
“Extremely friendly and helpful gentleman working there the last two nights. This store stays open later than most, and has gas, soda, eggs and cheese, wine and beer, sundries. Definitely not a full grocery store, but they do have a decent selection of basic items and you'll likely find something here that will suit what you need. Reasonable prices, too! A dozen Screiber Farms eggs are $3.69.”
“Scoopers was a neat old town market that had amazing fudge and sweet treats in addition to many amenity items for on-the-go. Of course, we could’t resist trying the ice cream. There was a long line no matter the time or day but worth the wait. We ordered at the register first. Then when it came time to get our double scoop waffle cones, we were floored by how much ice cream they gave us. One could have satisfied the whole family! We highly recommend going to Scooper’s for your sweet treats and ice cream in Long Beach. You should definitely check it out! - Brittany Ramsey | eXp Realty”
“Great place to shop. Customer service is on a par by itself. The deli crew went out of their way to assist me as I wanted something they don't normally do. Thanks to all of you for making my day!”
