Rising Tide Tavern
223 Market St, Pacific BeachThe location is beautiful in Seabrook city center, and the ambiance was quite nice. Average noise level sitting in the 'Tavern' section of the restaurant. The server was fantastic (didn't get her name, but female redhead with glasses). I always appreciate excellence. It was lunchtime, so I went with the fish and chips, but exchanged the chips with onion rings. That made me feel pretty smart as the onion rings were perfectly crispy on the outside, and firm but juicy onion on the inside. The fish was a little over cooked as it came out super hot and super crispy. The taste of the fish was ok, but the consistency was a little mash potatoe'ish. Never had that happen before with fish and chips. All-in-all, great experience, but at $43 total (before tip), a little pricey for lunch. I'd still come back. The pluses far outweigh the minuses!
