“Wow! We were impressed by the extremely reasonable prices for the treasures found within! The staff was super kind and seemed to go beyond the norm to try to be helpful to customers. They even had a pile of objects (mostly children's objects but also luggage and the like) for the needy outside their shop that was labeled as being for free! They also visibly seemed to be friends with the staff of the neighboring stores. The generosity of this place helped restore my faith when it comes to the nature of people selling used/antique objects! ?”
“The prices are pretty intense for me, $80 leggings and such. But there are some things that are reasonably priced, and all the clothing and shoes seem to be made of better materials than what you might find at say Walmart. I still buy shoes there, but when I browse through the clothing, I just can't bring myself to spend that much. The store is clean and well lit, the staff are friendly and helpful. I'm just cheap.?”
“Very elegant store full of nautical themes, cozy blankets, and my all time favorite candles. They burn well, the scents are complex. This year they changed their candles a bit though; the jars are not as nice and they are maybe smaller? Either way, prices skyrocketed out of my comfortable range at this point, which is a shame. Still a lovely store. I’ll miss it!”
“I am from Asheville NC, got off a cruise ship in Port Townsend WA and had an hour to explore downtown and shop. My last stop before heading back to the ship was Summer House Design. This store has new gift shop items and small vintage antique items. I was in hog heaven as I collect vintage small pitchers and Glenn had an amazing find, not to mention, beautiful Japanese water glasses that blended perfectly. I made my purchase and shipped them home. Glenn is an amazing packer. They left the peninsula of Washington, crossed the entire country, arrived when expected and in perfect shape.
