“This ARCO in Poulsbo is basically my comfort station at this point. I’ve been here so many times it’s starting to feel like a recurring character in my life story: “woman attempts to leave town… returns for gas and coffee.” 😄
First things first—this place is consistently clean. Not “clean for a gas station,” either. Clean-clean. The facility is bright, the floors and counters don’t look like they’ve survived a small apocalypse, and the trash is never overflowing. Ever. Which tells me someone here actually cares (and bless them for it).
Now let’s talk about the real litmus test: coffee. Because nothing says heartbreak like rolling up ready for caffeine and finding an empty pot and a sad little sign that says “out of creamer.” Not here. They don’t run out of coffee, and they don’t run out of toppings—creamers, sweeteners, whatever your personal morning coping mechanism requires. It’s always stocked, and it’s always ready.
The staff? Friendly across the board—and not in a performative “corporate told me to smile” kind of way. Just genuinely pleasant humans. And what I’ve noticed is they’re friendly to everyone. This spot draws a super diverse crowd, and the vibe stays the same: respectful, welcoming, no weird energy.
And the gas… whew. The gas is always the cheapest I’ve seen. Every time I think, “Surely not again,” it’s again. If you’re trying to keep your budget from bursting into flames while you’re literally buying fuel, this place is a win.
Bottom line: clean, well-stocked, bright, friendly, and consistently affordable. If I’m getting gas in Poulsbo, this is the one.”

“It's a fueling stop. I don't have a thing about Safeway it's just there's plenty of them. I know you read all those Hawaii, California, Washington state, reviews. Within 500 yards of a Starbucks - check. Accept your points for discount at the pump - check. Safeway advertising on all the pumps - check. Better quality fuel at cheaper prices them most gas stations - check. Overall four stars. I deducted a star because of access being a little confusing and no attendant. Now excuse me, time to get on the road. M”
