Also, it'd be great if the staff were more knowledgeable about the historical significance of Eddie Bauer and the origination of puffer jackets. I'm pretty sure, based on what I learned at the Museum of History and Industry, that Eddie Bauer invented one of the original puffer jackets, and I think the store should celebrate that success more prominently. Eddie Bauer should tell its Seattle-based origination story more. There was a timeline display on the wall, but I think most people interpret it only as decorative art, and even the employees seem to read it for the first time when I asked them the puffer jacket question.”

“While travelling in Seattle, I came across a brand I had long admired and decided to step inside. It felt almost like walking into a museum, with its unique sense of style and atmosphere. On the ground floor, I was fascinated to see sewing machines actually producing some of their items, and upstairs was a truly stunning store. Sadly, I had to head off to a baseball game, so I couldn’t make a purchase this time. Nevertheless, every member of staff was wonderfully welcoming, sharing the story of Filson with genuine pride in their work. I left deeply impressed and I’ll certainly be returning on my next visit.”

“I got my wedding tux from Tom James, the first time I’ve ever owned a tux, and Eric Sipe was great to work with. He was helpful and knowledgeable throughout the process, and the tux fit perfectly and looked great the day of the wedding! Not that I needed the validation, but I even got several compliments on how good the tux looked from guests who have worked in fashion and whose opinions I value highly. If/when I need custom menswear again, I will seek out Eric and Tom James.”

“Assistant Manager Galia from the Tukwila location was super helpful! I came in a couple weeks ago to shop for a few outfits for my trip coming up and she came to my fitting room with thee PERFECT dresses! I came in not even knowing what I was looking for and came out with items that matched so well with where i was going. Windsor doesn’t carry plus sizes but she took the time to find dresses made with stretchable fabrics for me to try on and they worked out so well! Great hospitality from that young woman !”

“Lots of name brand work wear at discounted prices. Great place to find some hard hats, work boots, Carhartt gear or some Georgia Romeo boots for a fraction of the price. I would highly recommend checking out this store in person before you going anywhere else.”

“Dylan Everyday Clothing is a cute clothing shop for women, men and kids adjacent to Alair gift shop. In fact, there is a doorway in between the two so you can browse the clothing and gifts and back and forth (and pay for all items on either side). The variety of clothing ranges from PNW casual (so many comfy hoodies) to fancy party attire (at least for women). I love that they stock a wide range of sizes for all body types. They also have some options for shoes and accessories like hats, bags, blankets and sunglasses. For the quality of the clothing brands, the prices are surprisingly reasonable! So many great finds!”

“Aiden was such a great help! Stopped by in a big hurry on the way to the airport to grab some last minute slacks and tops. They make nicely cut, wrinkle-free pants that are so flattering. So easy to put cute pieces together, pretty good stock, store is kept clean and the nicest staff that are helpful & courteous. Above-average retail service with excellent inventory!”
“Cool looking supply shop with a good selection of Marmot stuff. At the beginning of October 2022 they had a lot of under garments and shirts at 50% off. Most of the shirts for men were smalls. Nice place in you forgot something on your travels.”
“I had a very positive experience at this store. I was in need of a suit on short notice, and had no idea how to dress myself appropriately which led to me haphazardly picking out separate suit pieces of from different brands. It wasn't until a gentlemen at the register noticed, explained why it would be problematic if I were to continue with this purchase. They proceeded to walk me through the store, and picked out different brands and fits for me to try. After about 30 - 45 minutes, the end result was a significant improvement over what I had initially chosen.
This was in stark contrast to Men's Warehouse down the road where they simply handed me a suit to try, and walked away after gesturing the general direction of the fitting room. I had hoped for a bit more interaction given that I was only 1 of 2 customers currently in the store. After stepping out of the fitting room, and feeling like the suit didn't particularly fit me -I was left standing there while the attendants were all idly chatting as if I didn't exist. I stood there hoping for some feedback on what could be improved; however, when it became clear they weren't going to intervene, I lost all motivation to continue with the purchase, and left soon after.
I expected more from Men's Warehouse, but got much less for a higher price tag. I expected less from K&G Fashion, yet got so much more in value in both product and cost; I walked away with a slightly tailored jacket, shirt, and pant that worked well with my body type for less than $250. I will definitely make this a more permanent consideration for future clothing concerns if for no other reason than to support the business.

“I loved the lady who altered my wedding dress!! She did an extremely detailed job with fitting the lace on the sleeves to my shoulders and hemmed the dress wonderfully. “Over the years I have ordered several garments from Decent Exposures and I love the custom fit & quality fabrics, especially their organic cotton. This is a woman-owned company helping people like me find adequate clothing. With a latex allergy it’s hard to find safe clothes that fit, but luckily their team goes above and beyond to make sure each order is perfect. I am so very grateful for the comfortable clothes I get to wear thanks to them and also it feels great buying clothes made in the USA. Just ordered another super soft nightshirt in navy cotton for my husband who loved the first one and now he wants another nightshirt but this time with a hood to keep him warm when he sleeps. My only wish is that one day they start making sweaters like full zip hoodies… crossing my fingers! ?”
