Gas was too expensive, and the merchandise was typically overpriced for junk food or alcohol. Definitely pay for the convenience of the store in prices.

went in on my 21st birthday at about 11pm after going out to a bar and got my denied buying cigarettes because the attendant insisted i don't turn 21 until the day AFTER my birthday. someone explain to this man how birthdays work.
