“Wow!! Today was the best service I have ever received at this location. We have been shopping here for 5 years and today we had a whole experience! We went for 40 cinder blocks, 6 bags of pea gravel and 8 bags of soil. We expected to load it all ourselves but Omar and Emanuel offered to help when they saw us coming back with empty flat beds. “While not the lowest cost, NW Natural Lighting's pergola quality, workmanship, and customer service is worth the price.
We decided to go with an aluminum structure with retractable shades, Bromic heaters, and rain-sensor mechanical louvers. But was more impressive was the work they put in to make sure we got the pergola we wanted with the criteria's we gave them. NWNL was able to design and construct a single 28ft long single bay mechanized louver pergola that used roof anchors over key points that didn't put additional load stress on our 10ft double-door sliders. It took some work on their end to figure it out and they delivered.
Additionally, they made sure that we were happy every step of the way. The took care of the permitting process and after that was completed, they worked with the contractor (who they recommended based on their past experience) with very little input from us and practically overbuilt the pergola. With all the customization that we asked for, it all fit together perfectly... even with the minimal delays.
What I appreciate most is their customer service. We had an issue with the Bromic heater (not NWNL's fault) and with the Outdoor Elements app, but NWNL responded quickly to mitigate.

“I just wanted to say, I have been having absolutely stellar experiences here lately. The lumber is always top shelf, but the staff are seriously incredible. Today, I picked up some cedar for a outdoor project - the counter person (didn't catch his name) found the best way to purchase boards to make my build as efficient as possible. Dominic and Joey in they yard, took all the time needed to find the best looking and straightest boards. They even cut some up to the lengths I needed and to fit in my truck. This saved me a lot of time. These guys were extremely helpful, very thoughtful with the selections they made and made sure to take good care of me, the best they could. Even on the way out, every single worker waved at me with a giant smile. It all seemed genuine like we were all a part little community, far away from the city. What a great experience. Thanks Dunn!”

And Curtis dug through a bunch of yard material to help find compatible options to complete my project. He even cut them down to size for me. These guys had such great advice though-out. “It's Home Depot in Everett.You get everything you wod expect from a major big box home improvement chain. It seems that their inventory levels has been a little less than what they were in the past, but 3 out of 6 times I go in there they never have what I'm looking for.. But it's the closest store from my place so the convenience is more than the inventory.”
“I can usually find what I need here for whatever home project I have going on. Military discount has saved me a ton over the years. We built a new deck this summer and were able to fully furnish (chairs, table, rockers, sofa, outdoor carpet, etc) with amazing end of season prices. The employee at Lowe's helped us locate everything in the store, separated into different loads, and help put it all in our truck.”
