“Great place. So nice to have a solid hardware store in the neighborhood, and a local alternative to Home Depot and Lowes. I'm visually-impaired, and dropped in to see if they had garbage cans for my apartment. A clerk approached me right away, showed me where they are, and explained the options. So, so helpful. I noticed they have everything from specialty hardware and fixtures to basic kitchen utensils. Again, so glad this store exists. I'm going to be a regular.”
“Great service. They had the exact parts I needed. I was looking for very specific, small screws for my computer that Home Depot didn’t carry. I went up the street to Tacoma Screw and found exactly what I was looking for. Additionally, the associate, Augustin, gave me some great recommendations for future repairs. “am not a handy person but have been trying to do some things on my own and with the help of Dave from Ace, I have been successful. For every kind of project I have had or with help needed with specific parts or drills, he has provided excellent guidance. He is kind, warm, and listens carefully to what I need and even seeks more guidance from other staff to get a second opinion. I do not write very many reviews but Dave is exceptional and I wanted to commend him and his service. What a gem.”
“The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about their store.
The only downside is what the company website claims is in stock or even carried is almost always wrong.
This is fourth time I've gone to this location and the fourth time Ace's website was completely wrong. The knowledge and courtesy of their staff more than makes up for their online service but it doesn't mean my projects get done.”

“My husband had called and put something on hold. I drove down after work from Everett. The traffic wasn't bad, got there about 9am, they weren't busy, picked up the item and went home. They were friendly and nice guys.”
“Best shopping experience I have had in years. Top notch guys behind the counter, clean store, everything is fronted. They have free coffee and throw in washers for free sometimes. Only complaint is there's no prices on the shelves, but we can't all be perfect.”

“These folks were awesome! I brought in my window screen and AC window adapter to have a polycarbonate window insert made to fit my Midea Duo AC [the white one from Costco]. (You can just tell them dimensions and what kind of hose it is, I was overprepared lol.) I chose the 1/8th inch and am able to tape it with aluminum foil tape to the screen!
I put in the request on Monday and got a call on Wednesday that it was completed. Very easy and fast. :) I was worried about it not fitting on my unit the first time, due to another review about such an issue. However, I have no problems attaching and detaching my unit to the screen.

“I never thought I'd be saying this about a hardware store, but the local Ace Hardware is a fun one to browse through. It's got more of a general store feel, and the employee spirit is positive and community-oriented. It's so refreshing to see this, and I'm sure makes regulars out of many. Seems like there's always a smiling face willing to help you out.

“After reading other reviews I felt obligated to post. I actually send a note privately to the President (and got a response within a few hours), just to share the great service I had. I've been shopping at the Shoreline location for my bigger home project needs for years and have had nothing but good experiences. The sales people were incredibly knowledgeable, shared a few options on lumber, quickly gave me the options on the decking and even instantly knew which screws would be a color match. My special order decking was and and scheduled in less than a week - A+ customer service from everyone during the process.”
“These guys are great! I honestly pass the store all the time and thought it was just a lumber yard. The team was super helpful, I needed a unique temporary fix to get water from my sink to a hose and fast! They came up with a genius solution and it worked great!! I will be using them all the time! Their selection of screws and fasteners is impressive!”
“I LOVE their cleaning products, specifically the TRIO! I clean my entire house with them. Including the floors. Everything always suprises me with how well they work! They get my counters & windows shiney & my floors smelling good and removing ANY stain. I have 2 Bulldogs so having product that help with their messes and doggie smells is amazing. “I love this store! It's a true blue old school hardware store that almost always has what I need as a fix it myself homeowner and gardener. Great tools, supplies, plus the more fun necessities in all housewares every season including specialty items. You could stock your whole kitchen with quality things from here plus have great gifts and kid's stuff too. The staff is totally accessible and knowledgeable and nice and I can be in and out fast. I go several times a month and can avoid all the big stores that take too much time and are harder to navigate and often disorganized. I highly recommend trying our small stores first and this one is exemplary. Plus it smells like a real hardware store and just opening the door is a pleasure to my senses. Long live tradition that is high functioning and prices are no more than the big stores, and often less. 5 stars and this review is long overdue for how much I love it. Going there now for 2" nails, a garden tarp, bathroom cleaning wipes, laundry soap, a new teapot, and to return some electrical supplies that I ended up not needing.”
“I have shopped at Ace Hardware stores in Seattle since I bought my first home in the Magnolia area in 1980. Since I was a novice in home up-keeping, when I went to the store with a problem, I was always helped by the staff on how to solve it. I always felt respected. To this day, 45 year later, I still shop at Ace Hardware because of the service I receive in responding to questions. Also I like the products Ace Hardware carries. Where I live now in downtown Seattle, every 3 months I walk to the Ace Hardware store close to where I live and walk up and down the aisles to see what's new.
