The Safeway store at 902 W. Francis Ave in Spokane, WA, is a convenient and friendly neighborhood grocery store. Customers genuinely love this location, with many calling it simply the best and their preferred place to shop. The store is noted for consistently having everything customers need, with a full stock of quality goods across all departments. This includes the butcher's block with its assortment of meat and seafood, a produce department full of fresh fruits and veggies, and well-stocked floral and grocery sections. The staff receives frequent praise for being the best, helpful, friendly, service-oriented, and eager to assist. Many employees feel like family to long-time shoppers. The store offers a variety of services like the deli with party trays, a bakery with customizable cakes, and convenient Order Ahead pickup. It is also considered the most affordable grocery store in the area. A noted downside is that the store often runs with a skeleton crew, leading to only one or two regular registers open and just four self-checkouts, which can result in long lines. Despite this, the overall experience invites customers to come back again and again.
Honestly, pretty peaceful. I mostly just go every once in a while to grab select teas and/ or products that Walmart doesn’t sell. I am not a huge fan of the new coupon system that they want you to use, but it is what it is.

I favor this Safeway because they kept their hand baskets. I didn’t realize how much I appreciated those rather than pushing cart around. Employees are always super friendly.

The store is great but I have an issue with the app. In the checkout page, I try to scroll my items to make sure I have everything. If you swipe the wrong way, it deletes the item. VERY FRUSTRATING! If you are not quick enough, the item is gone. If there is already a delete option, why have the swipe option as well?
