Ruston Way Park is a popular spot for walking, picnicking, and enjoying scenic views of the water and mountains. The park features a paved path along the water that connects many locations, making it ideal for a relaxing walk or a family outing. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches, and the playground offers a nice space for children to play. Dogs are welcome, with stations available for waste bags, and the park is generally dog-friendly. Restrooms are available; they are clean and functional for men, but some reviews mention that they are not very pleasant for women. Visitors often see blue herons nearby, adding to the natural beauty. However, safety can be an issue, as some feel that skateboards, bicycles, and hoverboards create dangerous situations, especially due to horns and close encounters. Overall, it’s a good place to relax, enjoy the views, and take a walk.
Amazing community asset. Views of the sound, the city and mt rainier all at once. Great restaurants along the way, lots of people out enjoying the walkway. What’s not to like.

I recommend it to everyone in Tacoma, good views, fresh air and the cry of seagulls. But there are a lot of people and cars. Also you can ride your bike here
