Shoutout to Sandy who always makes me feel so welcome and cared for when I come in. She goes above and beyond to be sweet to me and my dog.

I usually call in for help considering there is no branch here in Kirkland. Staff is always helpful and understand. I don’t know why this branch is a 2.4 star but deserves to be 5 stars. Shout out to Vanessa for helping me over the phone.

My family and I have been with Tapco for over 10 years. Yes its inconvenient there only in tacoma. Shared branching can be helpful but I still find many issues with this credit union. After trying to get my account back current I had many issues that were not communicated until many calls with different tapco staff.

I had 2500 dollars drained form my account fraudulently. Tapco statedd they would refund the account but not until 30 to 60 days. Terrible customer service.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Tapcos system went down and couldn’t accept auto loan payments so they decided since it couldn’t be processed until after it was due that I had a late payment. Never use Tapco! I’d rather of paid more to have a more reliable company.

Changed my one-star to a three-star to reflect the good experiences I have encountered as well. When it's well, it's very well (most cases in customer service) and when it's poor, it's very poor (financial protocols and disconnects). I have a business and sometimes have to use funds from one of my personal accounts, just so happens that one of my personal accounts is with TAPCO. Most recently tried to get a wire into my account and it was delayed as they use a third-party FCU for wire transfers. When I asked Vanessa why this information isn't available on Tapco's website, she informs me the wiring instructions are not available on the website to mitigate fraud - INCOMING WIRE INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON TAPCO WEBSITE TO MINIMIZE FRAUDULENT WIRING TRANSACTIONS?! If that is truly the case, shouldn't there at least be a disclaimer to contact your local TAPCO branch for wiring instructions. In addition, due to a third party middle person handling wiring for TAPCO as they obviously don't have the infrastructure or capacity to handle a myriad of services - in this case direct wiring of funds into a member account, there is a $25.00 outgoing wiring fee as well as a $20.00 incoming wiring fee. Might finally be time to find a new credit union a bit more customer and member-centric. Additionally, customer care over at Catalyst was great, Michael was extremely helpful as he could be, unfortunately noone at Catalyst can verify with a Tapco member as they must speak to a Tapco admin in order to do anything - interesting obstacle when trying to access info regarding transfers into a member's own account.Jacob, you're absolutely correct and I missed it, if you scroll all the way to the bottom of your page it does state to (call for wiring instructions). I want to ensure my review reflects as accurately as possible.

Why is there no zero-star option? First they have lost the paperwork for my auto insurance coverage a total of 3 times so they could tack on their own super expensive coverage when I had proof the ENTIRE time. Now I have traded the car financed through them in two weeks ago, mostly so I don't have to deal with them anymore, and I was still charged for this month's payment. I can't stress enough how much you want to steer clear of this "business"

Initially, a female employee at the 6th ave tapco didnt complete a card to card bank transfer I requested.I asked to transfer $2500 and she said i didnt have the funds on my card.I called and I have over $3000 on that card. She also was taking advice from the male employee while she was running the transaction and so it of course didnt go through after that and I wasnt able to make my transaction. Then, same day I was at tapco yesterday and then handed a different female teller my tapco bank card and a debit card from my other bank.I told her I want to transfer funds from my other bank to my tapco checking account. She pointed at the cards and said from this card to this card.I said yes. She then says it again. I say yes.She the continually repeated herself and asked which card I want the funds transfered to and 5 times in a row.I took my bank cards back and told her you're not going to help me so I'm leaving. She was staring at the wall refusing to look at me as I told her this and so i left without completing my tapco transaction.Employees were also playing their personal music playlist for all to be forced to listen to on over the buildings speakers. Also, if you try to buy a stick of gum, but the transaction is declined with your tapco card, tapco will charge you $30 for every declined transaction and refuse to give you your money back.Tapco is a bad business practice business and needs to be sued.

Went to get a cashier’s check from them (6th ave) because they’re in my shared banking network. The teller told me “I don’t know how long it’s been since you last came in(a couple of weeks), but they changed the amount on all transactions. It’s a $750 limit on all transactions…. cause there’s, like, been a lot of frauuuud.” Ok, nice passive aggressive and racist way to say you don’t want my business.

Terrible bank. Seems like everytime I call with a generic question, they say their system is down. No one seems to know what they are doing, can never answer simple questions, and continually transfer to random people. Michael Flanegan in auto loans is a joke. Poor communication and again, has no clue what he’s even doing. DO NOT BANK HERE!

Taco credit union does not have bank ATMs that except deposits... Isn't this supposed to be a freaking bank? The main branch hasn't had a deposit ATM for like a year and a half or more. That is unacceptable. And their online banking app is always down or locks you out for no apparent reason. The workers trying to blame you for having a wrong password wrong username... This is not the case because the app goes down every week twice a week or more. If I could afford to go to a different bank I would never come back here again.

DO NOT EVER US THIS COMPANY FOR AUTO LOANS!!!!I have used BECU, ford, and now tapco for auto loans. I have had this auto loan since December. Every month has been nothing but issues. If you like to make your payments manually every month to keep track of your bills to be financially responsible, they punish you for that by adding a $15.00 charge even if your payment is early. All my other loans have been easy I can just transfer money to my account on my own and make my payments with no added fees.My family into money issues early in January and lost my auto insurance. I was sent a letter saying they would add more to the amount of my loan if I don’t get back on insurance. I got my insurance back and spoke to their representative to verify everything was okay. They informed me my account was all good and won’t see any extra money added to my loan. But here we are a new month and a new issue. Received a letter today informing me they will be adding 3,000 to my loan because I lost my insurance.I can not believe this company has been around since 1934 and they are this difficult. The only reason I am giving them two stars is because every employee I have had to deal with has been positive and helpful. Apparently some of them are not getting trained properly or giving customers the correct information.Unfortunately I am stuck dealing with this but hopefully I can help others from not having to deal with this headache.
