About Wright Park Community Center
Wright Park Community Center is located within a beautiful and historic park in downtown Tacoma, established since the 1890s. The park features well-maintained walking trails, open grassy spaces, and a pond with a bridge and ducks swimming. Visitors enjoy strolling through the park, which is full of old trees and colorful plants, making it a great spot for pictures, picnics, or simply relaxing. The park also houses the W.W. Seymour Conservatory, a free, meticulously labeled botanical conservatory that offers a fascinating look at various plants and flowering bushes, perfect for plant enthusiasts. While the park offers many outdoor amenities like a playground, splash pad, and grassy areas with swings, the community center itself does not have an inside facility accessible to the public. The park is popular and can get busy, especially around the play zones and during weekends, so visitors should keep an eye on children. Restrooms are available but may sometimes be in a less clean condition. Overall, Wright Park is appreciated for its beauty, history, and well-kept grounds, making it a lovely place for a city walk, enjoying nature, or spending time with family.

Beautiful park, with walking trails . Playground area and a small lake with a bridge and fountain. A pity that at the time I went, the bathrooms were in a terrible state of cleanliness.

We enjoy walking around the park and stopping by the beautiful conservatory that welcomes dogs!
