“Late at night, just before closing, id head over there to get some dinner. On the nights we didnt have food, or I didnt get fed because I was the oldest kid in the house, they gave me what was left. And let me tell you, when youre starving, that dry old chicken and the stale potatoes and what not hit so different. Absolute life savers these guys, too. Kind enough to give a hubgry child the food rather than throw it away.”
“Love coming here. Favorite thing: the owner's out working with the rest of them, he ain't just sittin' around. I never got stinkeye or cold shoulder for not being from around here like I've felt at a few other places, which really felt great. Never been somewhere with gasboys but I didn't really mind it. Store's got great selection and great food. I've driven a half hour just for a burger and I don't even care.”
“Lovely small town store. It has a little bit of everything and everything you need. Beer, ice , bread, sodas, you name it they probably have it. The owner greeted me as I walked in and was there to checkout my purchase. He knew my in laws and asked about the family. Highly recommend you stop here if you don't need to "go to town"”

“I love Dollar general. They offer wide variety of choices. They have normal prices, Dollar prices, sale prices, clearance prices, discount prices, digital discount prices. Ya never know what your going to find here on sale. They have a little bit of everything. They have general brands and they have a store brand. Something for everybody. I always buy too much when I go, finding items I need but forgot to write down. Their Dollar isle is still a dollar. Love that!”

“What wonderful staff! I had a sprained ankle, they were so helpful! I needed a Shell Gas Gift Card for a gift basket, they had all the information and took great care of me! The place was neat and clean. There seemed to be a lot of locals coming and going as the staff seemed to know them all by name. What a nice small town service station. I will be back.”
“My boyfriend and his family recently moved to the Salkum area and I am extremely grateful I found this store yesterday! In the past if we needed any last minute groceries for dinner (usually produce) I would go to either the Salkum Market which often wouldn't have what I needed and if they did it was SO expensive. So then I would end up having to drive all the way to the Red Apple which from where I live is much further than Brenda's. Plus all of the staff members whom ive encountered thus far have all been super friendly and helpful.”

Grabbed what I needed and headed up to the nice man at the counter. “Amazing like a Walmart but cheaper and cooler and smaller. Nice looking. They had many things there you won't normally see at another dollar general and nice staff. Also im a lil retarded and didn't see the carts in front of the store I thought they were inside but I was clearly wrong?”
