“Why are you close at 7:00 on Sunday morning?? This is the only gas station for 5 me and we count on you to be open!
Please have your parking lot repaired. I like to shop here because everybody is friendly, they have low prices on the two items I buy every day and it's convenient. Don't be surprised if you end up having a conversation with a stranger when you're there. Just a friendly little gas station that desperately needs a new parking lot. At least I've now been here long enough to remember where the puddles gather so I'm not splashing into them when I exit my vehicle.”

“Go Mart has Very Nice Employees that work very hard to keep everything clean. The cashiers work quickly and efficiently if they're slammed. If there are lines of people at both registers the wait time very short. The cashiers want to keep things moving as quickly and as efficiently as possible to get you in and out and on your way. “In a world where every corner seems to have a Dollar General or Walmart, Barker's One Stop is a true beacon of simpler times and honestly, that's exactly what makes it special.
My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on our way through Smithville and were welcomed with the kind of genuine Southern hospitality that's nearly impossible to find at a chain restaurant or fast food place anymore.
The food was delicious, portions were generous (we left stuffed!), and the prices were more than fair. One thing to know is that after your meal you walk over to the gas station side to settle up, which is just part of the charm.
While we waited for our food, we found ourselves drawn to the photos on the wall telling the history of the family behind this place. It's rich with character and story. You can feel the generations of hard work in every corner.
If you're passing through, do yourself a favor and stop in. Places like Barker's are rare and they deserve every bit of support we can give them. Highly recommend!”
