The Charleston Marriott Town Center is a hotel close to central downtown, described as nice but older and very worn, in much need of updating. The rooms are generally clean, well-kept, and a great size with comfortable beds, though some are damp and the property feels dated. Notable drawbacks include a pool that has been closed for an extended period and balconies that are locked or inaccessible. The hotel offers a concierge lounge and a restaurant with great service and food, including a large breakfast buffet with a lot of options. Staff are frequently noted as knowledgeable, friendly, and providing great service. Parking is inexpensive but the garage is not gated. The location is easily walkable to a couple of restaurants, but the area is noted as seeming a little sketchy with a visible homeless population.
Joel during breakfast was super polite. Room was clean, food was good.

Dated and very sketchy area. Splatter on the walls and the ac control in the room doesn’t actually work.

Parking garage not gated. I am a marriot bonvoy member and had to pay 15 dollars to park in a garage thats not secure. Room was good, but damp. Coffee availability all day would be nice. Area seems a little sketchy.
