Pet Sitting & Training

Miss Booger's Pet Sitting & Pet Supplies
1339 John Brown Farm Rd, Harpers FerryWe used them for in home services, for our cat and two dogs who are rescues. I felt so comfortable being away knowing our fur babies were being well taken of. Also seeing their experience with handling nervous dogs put me at ease. I got updates and pictures. It made me so happy to see.I love the fact that they can take care of other animals, chickens, fish, ect as well as maintain things in the home upon request, such as watering plants and whatnot. It helps us make plans for future vacations or emergencies that may come up.10 out of 10 we highly recommend them!

Chilbrook Kennels LLC
715 Mission Rd, Harpers FerryDebby is an amazing breeder, trainer and mentor. She has a passion for her dogs. Her labradors are beyond reproach. We have two and could not be more pleased. I would never look anywhere else.

Purrfect Paws, LLC
528 Sycamore Rd, Harpers FerryWe have been very happy clients of Purrfect Paws since moving to WV in 2017. From our very first sitting, we knew we had found the right company. Communication is amazing--so much better than our experiences with other companies--both on the scheduling side and during services. We love the updates we get during sits, and the photos we get of our cats are pretty amazing. Jo and Dawn have really connected with all of our cats, even the shy ones. They have gone above and beyond when a cat has been sick...I cannot tell you how much we have appreciated that. Outstanding professional services, with so much love and caring for our animals...and also for us, when our older cats have passed. I recommend Purrfect Paws to everyone who asks for a referral.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Bolivar Bread Bakery
914 Washington St, Harpers FerryMost of their breads are sour dough based, and are also labeled vegan. Most days they have at least one label vegan treat. We enjoyed the peach cake yesterday. Very nice people, too! Worth a stop after or before you eat at the nearby vegan restaurant, Kelly Farm Kitchen. Updated from previous review on 2026-08-16

Cannonball Deli
125-129 Potomac Street, Harpers FerryThis place was amazing. My wife and I just got wraps here and ate by the river. We got the kabob wrap and falafel wrap. My wife said the kabob wrap was one of the best things she’s eaten EVER. And it truly was. Highly recommend this place.

White Horse Tavern
4328 William L Wilson Freeway, Harpers FerryFirst time visiting White Horse Tavern in Harpers Ferry, and we had a great experience! We stopped in on a quiet Monday and received our food quickly. We ordered the cream of crab soup and fish and chips, which came with coleslaw and tartar sauce. Everything was delicious!
Our server, Emma, was amazing—friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The tavern has a cozy, rustic lodge atmosphere that fits perfectly with the mountain setting. They offer daily specials, live entertainment on weekends, outdoor seating, and a fire pit.
You enter through the hotel lobby, and there is plenty of parking, although I imagine it fills up quickly during live music events. If you enjoy traditional pub food, a good burger, or a relaxed mountain atmosphere, this is definitely worth checking out. We’ll be back to try more of the menu!
