4835 MacCorkle Ave SW, South Charleston“I stopped at the Exxon for a quick fill-up and was impressed. The gas station was neat and tidy, and I managed to locate what I wanted quickly. The pump worked flawlessly, and the prices were as expected. The staff inside were helpful and friendly. They also had an adequate selection of snack foods and drinks for the road. When you are driving a long distance, it is a convenient spot for fuel and a brief break.”
“Reasonably priced gas in a convenient location. Located between Burger King and BB&T Bank, within Riverwalk Plaza, with no direct connection to MacCorkle Avenue.”
“This is a wonderful crew here they are awesome friendly kind and helpful the manager is the sweetest guy he deserves a raise he is always cleaning and stocking. Keep it up guys!!”
“It’s fine, it’s Walmart. I’ve seen so many poor reviews due to the self checkout situation and lack of employees- that has nothing to do with the location or the employees that work there. They need actual applicants in order to fill the staff lol. Something every business in American is struggling with right now. I’ve never had issues with employees at this store. Things evolve, it’s 2023/24, self checkout is the new normal. I prefer doing it myself and I don’t mind if employees avoid eye contact, I almost prefer it! I’m there to get what I need and get out, it works for me. I don’t care if an employee smiles at me or not, that’s silly.”
“A nice, clean, new Dollar General store, with fresh and frozen food. There isn't as much selection as a big box store, or a supermarket, but it's convenient, and they'll have everything you need, and without the very high prices of typical convenience stores. They have regular checkouts, and the option of self-checkout, if that's what you prefer. I prefer the self-checkout myself.”
“Target is a class act. They have much for mothers with small children and babies and are affordable. I take advantage of the in-store Starbucks and CVS Pharmacy.”
“Always clean and organized! Staff is kind and helpful. Clean parking lot. Self checkouts are quick. Close to gasoline & eateries. Supporting local. Grab some Bistro Soup Mix for a nice soup of any flavor! All WV made & distributed!”
“The Ashton Place Kroger is the best of the Kroger stores in the Charleston area--widest choice of high quality items, great variety of fresh baked goods and produce, clean aisles and counters, courteous customer service department, and friendly staff in aisles to help and at check-out. Thank you. I'll be back again next week!”
“Miss patti smelled like Brussels sprouts and saw Her shart in the adult pamper isle when I told her manager what I saw her manager told me "damn her ass must be lit" and also told me something along the lines of "she needs to ice it up"”

2700 Mountaineer Blvd, South Charleston“It's a Walmart. Most the employees don't want to be there, and the customers don't want to be there. It's just they have to. Walmart is one of the biggest employers of the area. Walmart has crushed most mom and pop stores, so there is no where else to go go shop really. This is not the fault of the staff. The people who do work there work hard. Give them a break.”

718 Chestnut St, South Charleston“My go to gas station. Wish there would be a little more selection drink and snack wise but love the people there they know what to grab for me before I even ask ?”
“Always come for my goodies, excellent Turkish coffee selection and the owner is very friendly. If you've never been to a Mediterranean market, this is a great one to check out. They also have FANTASTIC frozen dumplings (or samosas) that are restaurant grade highly recommend.”
