“This place has the neatest off brand items and decent prices. The employees are always friendly. I have never had to wait long to check out. I love their concept of paying a quarter when you get a cart. It eliminates dings in your car doors and the need for someone to gather the carts in the parking lot. No, they don’t provide bags for you but they were ahead of the times.”
“Used to always go shoppping here with my grandpa, now he’s gone and I still go shopping here, anyways it’s a pretty nice store. Though the checkout line is always so backed up”
“It's your typical kroger gas station. Better prices than most gas stations, usually. I wish they had milk out there, so if I need a gallon I don't have to go in the store. I can just grab a gallon while pumping and be on my way”
“Can't beat a Dollar General they have a little bit of everything especially nice if you just need a few things and you don't feel like taking a mile hike into Walmart or Krogers and having a hundred people around you at the same time.”
“Great place. We always buy meat here and like the fact they have a butcher. The deli is great. Overall a good smaller store without the big crazy crowds. They sure need more checkers. I realize it is hard to get people to work.”
“The woman that was working tonight was the sweetest lady I've ever encountered in this store today's date is January 17th 2026 and it was 6pm and she was on register 3 I didn't get her name but she definitely should be recognized for being very sweet and very helpful! And I hope she reads this thank you so much for being so nice to my daughter and I! I know after working with the public all day it takes a special kind of human to be nice to everyone that comes threw that door so thank you friend! And as for the rest of the people there they are rude and stuck up they act like they are better than everyone else! And heaven forbid you pull a food stamp card out because then they treat you like garbage! Well I'm here to tell you I'm a single mom of 3 and work I get a little bit help and I definitely have to I don't just sit on my butt and collect like I could! So thank you so much to that lady and to the rest of you you should really try harder to be like her!”
“In the Parkersburg/Belpre area, this is my favorite Kroger because I can usually find better produce with more available selections than at the other Krogers. Also, I can find many items related to my Whole Foods Plant Based diet, such as plant based meats, cheeses, butter, etc... I love the authentic sushi kiosk in the deli area and the fresh baked bread. People who work there are friendly and helpful. What I do not love is checkout. Usually, there are only one or two cashier-run registers; the rest are self-checkout, and there is usually a long line at all of them. I have a pleasant experience shopping in the store, but checking out is a pain.”
“That store omg I could not believe my eyes was beautiful no blocked isles the ladies that were working were so nice and helpful we got everything we went for and more compared to my local dollar general in my home town this place is the taj mahal I love shopping dollar general stores I've never shopped 1 so clean and organized I would give it 10 out of 10???????????”
“7-11-24 Shelia on S.Side is wonderful! She will help me try to find what I am looking for. Still wish Walmarts were open 24-7. I really miss that. If not for the customer, at least let the employees come in OFF hours to stock. A little annoying when isles are crammed pack with things, it's hard to get thru.
Another update: 1-20-24 about the same. They do need to have more small shopping carts. I use those so much, I bought my own little shopping cart, so not only do I use it in Walmart, I use it everywhere.
Not really much more to say - same Walmart.... same hours. They just won't give in to stay open til at least Midnight.
Update: 10-17-23
No.ore to really say. I just wish if they weren't open all night then at least stock on the hours that you are not open to the public. There is no need to stock when people are shopping since you arent open 24/7... which I have said before.
Update: not really much more to comment on. (Still miss the store being open all night long - BUT what can ya do?)

It would also be different if the crew didn't stock during *normal* business hours. Bad enough, we can only shop until 11 pm, BUT when you have the employees running around, stocking - it makes it an extra madhouse. It's back to normal except for the fact the store is only open til 11pm. If you won't keep it open 24hrs - at least stay open until Midnight!
Everything is almost back to normal - I miss being able to go in & shop in the wee hours of the dawn...)
There is no reason that shoppers can not go in & out of both sets of doors, AND they need to be open until at least 10 or 11pm every night! (Obviously, this was a couple yrs ago)”
“Shout out to one of the men working this evening on 10/9/25 around 530-540on. We pulled up to 3 people in a car who were having car troubles. We tried to help them out but no luck. One of the ladies in said car went in to let DG employees know that they would be waiting on a tow truck for the next hour and a half. They male employee gave them waters while they had to wait! This was an amazing act of kindness. I went through this experience but at a gas staion and all they were worried about was when Id be able to remove my car. I applaud the workers here! ? Great job! We need some niceness in this world.”
“Selections are not bad, the cashier are always helpful, the ONLY THING I HAVE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IS PEOPLE THAT AREN’T HANDICAPPED PARK IN THE HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE!!!!! And that burns me up….”
“One of the best grocery stores in town! They have the best meat and great selection of dairy products. The only thing that could be better is the fresh produce. The employees are the absolute best! So kind and friendly.”
“Once you wade through the hookers, homeless, handicapped, bicyclists, backpackers, and burglars out in the parking lot you will find the inside has plenty of reasonably priced cold beer and some of the friendliest and courteous cashiers in town.”

“This is hands down my favorite dollar general in the area. It's close to home and usually has anything I need so I don't have to drive all the way into town. Pretty clean and usually well stocked all of the time. The staff are all incredibly nice, but Randi is my favorite cashier. Always friendly and laughs at my bad jokes. “Very friendly staff with nice atmosphere/as with any Dollar General though out of stock on many items on a repetitive nature. Would be perfect if management could do the ordering instead of Corporate”

“This particular Go-Mart has courteous and friendly cashiers, and is clean and well stocked. Prices are lower than Speedway and 7-11, and far lower than Rebel. The best thing about this store is the cashiers are able to hang in there during the busy times.”

“This store is going downhill so badly. No matter what time of day I'm there, you cannot find anybody in the office. Things that were normally on the shelf are basically non-existent. I have always been a faithful Kroger shopper but this is beginning to turn my stomach.”
“This is exactly what every Walmart is. Giant, clogged with people every weekend and has everything. In a small town like Vienna, it carries the things the local food chains can't sustain and their employees know where to point you when you ask for a specific item. This one gets an above average rating for having a self-checkout and relatively few lines. I appreciated getting to check myself out since I literally had two cans of jalapeños in adobo sauce.”
