“i haven’t personally stayed but my uncle did. my uncle is in the early stages of alzheimer’s and he got lost driving for a whole day wouldn’t stop driving north and ended up at the lake in sister bay and drove in circles. the state trooper got him to this Inn and the owners are a saving grace. they fed him and took care of him until my family could come get him. they made sure he didn’t get back in his car. This is the kind of place you want to stay. we’re beyond grateful ?”

“This was the perfect place for a girls weekend. I picked this place due to the amenities and when we arrived, we were surprised with more! Snacks and libations in the lobby for purchase, fire pits galore, live singing entertainment, etc. we got the evergreen suite and it was perfect for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms (2 each) were clean, spacious, and beautiful. We will definitely be returning. 3 minutes away from a delicious Thai/sushi restaurant hidden away.”

“The room with the king-sized bed has two comfortable chairs, a TV, a microwave, coffee service, and a refrigerator. My husband and I hit it during the third week in October, when the weather is changeable and many services are shutting down either next week or November 2. The trees are beautiful, just changing to their full fall glory. With the lake in whitecaps because of wind and few tourists and people who fish, this is a great time to experience upper Door County.”
“I recently stayed at Hillside Inn at 11934 WI-42, in Ellison Bay, WI. The Inn provides a great value just outside of Sister Bay. The rooms are.vwey nice and was perfect for my stay in the area. The staff is very nice and helpful if I had any questions. I wish on that the Hugel Restaurant would have been open on my stay. I have heard so much good on it. The rooms have a nice view of the Bay.

“We just returned home from our third stay. After finding this place last fall, we returned during the past summer and now took a ride to see the fall colors and relax. The owners are so welcoming and the motel is clean and comfortable. Complimentary coffee is available in the office each morning, and the coffee shop next door is an added bonus on weekends offering delicious frittatas and sweet treats. The location on the lake is perfect! A great place to relax and unwind! We will definitely be back! Thank you all for another great stay! See you next year! Joe and Judy”

“Lovely place to stay building. Very soundproof great rooms with full kitchens. Nice little balconies overlooking trees. Very private and yet close to whitefish dunes, Clark, lake cave point, etc. Walk to grocery and gas across the street. Also nice little bar and grill”
“We had a great experience here! The building was charming and made for a quiet stay, and Carly is very welcoming and friendly. The room was incredibly clean and cozy, we couldn't remember the last time we stayed in a hotel room that was as clean. Mold, mildew, and other allergens are always a concern in hotels and there was no sign of that here. They also use green cleaning methods, no air fresheners or harsh chemicals. If you're someone who is specific about your environment, then this clean and green place is a great option!”

“You can’t beat the location! We’ve stayed at places that are 2-3x the price and this was by far better. Set back on main strip it’s quiet and immaculate. I also left some very valuable items in our room and they were prompt in response and returned them to me quickly. Very honest people as well.”

“The lodge is very nice, staff is friendly and everything is clean. The pools are great. My only complaint is that the bathroom door does not lock and the shower head broke off when I tried to move it. The location is close to downtown Sister Bay and if you dont mind walking on the side of the road, it is within walking distance.”

“Love this resort; it is perfect for kids or a couples getaway. Quiet and quaint located in a perfect location with easy walking access to Ephraim and a short drive to most of the popular cities in Door County. The outdoor pool is heated and they also have a hot tub for cooler days. You can watch the fish boils at The Old Post Office also which is a fun activity for kids on at least one evening. They have access to a beach and sitting area along the lake along with great water views from most of their rooms! Rooms are always clean and the service is great and very accommodating!”

“When my husband and I kept trying to call all spring we couldn’t get through to anyone. It kept going to some “Lacy with the Nordic Lodge and Lullabi Inn” no one answered or returned our calls. Finally we got through to a young woman who was very polite and professional. She had hospitality, (Samantha, front desk day staff). We got our room book and she was able to accommodate us. Once we arrived, we came into a little mom and pop hotel, cute cozy vibes. Another girl Desire or Dezzy was working evening shift and wasn’t confident in what she was doing while checking us in. She was a bit standoffish. We met one of the owners Gale who was kind and friendly. We enjoyed our stay overall.”

“We stayed several nights at the Blacksmith Inn in Baileys Harbor in 2025 and 2026. It's quiet and charming. Whether kayaking, riding your bicycle, or wandering the village it's the perfect getaway.
