“They had a lot of exotic stuff at good prices but very few customers. Just check out these Porterhouse Steaks! -pictured below. They were only $7.49 per pound. Anywhere else they are $12 to $15+ per pound.”
“Kind of a mess , but it was Valentines day so its probably the customers tearing up the store . There were also a lot empty shelfves. The customer service was good though the cashier was friendly she had to call for help to fill balloon orders and the lady seemed annoyed to have to help but she was friendly to customers. It was the energy that comes as a little off putting though.”
“Very friendly staff. I can understand why some people night be uncomfortable with the discretionary pricing model, but in my experience, the cashiers tend to be generous. If you get one who is naming prices higher than you expect, they might be willing to haggle if the store is not busy, but I have not found this necessary MOST items I bring to the register get priced lower than the price of the day.”
“I came here for balloons for my cousins birthday, such a nice experience! The service is really great and they were friendly and willing to help with any questions I had trying to find things. One staff member helped me pick the cutest balloon weight when I was looking for something specific. They have a good selection, I'd honestly come back to get more balloons and other random items because the staff was so nice. Thanks for being awesome!”

“Just leaving the Family Dollar over here on Holton. This my first time coming to this one. Everything is well stocked, store not cluttered at all, very neat, nothing in the aisle, ain't nobody in there acting a fool, the cashier she was very pleasant and quickly checked us out so no line backups formed. I didn't have any issues with security. I had a very pleasant shopping experience there. I've read other reviews that were not favorable, however. this was my honest to God experience today, and I will be returning back there to shop again.”
“I was shopping a few years back and came across this pain relief balm for my lower back pain. At first I didn't think it would work and was skeptical of buying it. So, I said, hey why not. It worked wonders on my low back area. I have been trying to find some more and haven't and now I see some online as well at the store where I purchased it at. Will definitely recommend. All you need is a small amount and just massage it in.”

“Has parking in back... Street too...I pass a lot of stores on my way there bc they are the best docked store... Go another mile or two and that stores shelves are nearly empty. Girls at counter are great.. Had a problem with my coupons uploading.. manger fixed me right up.”
“There is, I believe he might be the main store manager there, to whom I feel needs to be reconinized for not just his awesome, courteous and polite, service! (he went out of his way to go in the back to get me some candy just the other day)
I cannot recall his name but I hope he is being paid very well due to him doing his job, above and beyond, AWESOME CS...
He is there every single time I go in there! So I know he works A LOT of hours
I also would like to thank him for making me feel safe as a shopper, I was there 1 day that a guy came in trying to steel, even though you can never tell what someone might do when they get caught, red-handed like that, this manager handled this man in a way that I KNEW, not only was I safe, but the whole situation was fine, no matter what.
(He very calmly and rationally told this man he needed to leave.)
I just thought I'd let Dollar General know they should NOT EVER want to lose such a great employee and let the public know that this is a great store to shop at!
ALL of the employees there are super friendly and always very courteous but I'm sure it helps to have a great manager.
I know personally, how it is to work CS at a huge retail chain and how much of a differece it makes in your attitude towards even having to come into work to have a good manager or not.”
