“The service I received from Uncle Ray tonight was really pleasant and helpful. Helped me locate items, offered before I even asked, and was friendly at check out and bagged my items nicely. Thank you Ray and Dollar General for a nice shopping experience.”
“I came in with my 87 year old client and had the absolute best girl check us out! I am horrible with names but it was Margaret or something close? She took the time to call the back of my clients card she was trying to use to figure out why it wasn’t going through. She was so nice and helpful and you just don’t see that anymore with customer service- that girl deserves a raise! 🤑”
“this place has a lot of action figures.this place also has a variety of marvel,dc and miscellaneous things this place is if lost world of wonders WAS BETTER(not mentioning the fact that its right next to it) lost world of wonders is ok but its not as good as abellas bargain store.”
“So many things to choose from when it comes to fun for the whole family. Not everything is below $5 though. They should change the name to 20 below instead... lmao”
“This is my favorite spot in the neighborhood! I’ve found some of my favorite shoes here for 3 DOLLARS. And the ladies and the atmosphere are just lovely. ❤️??”
“Skip any other dollar store- and come directly here. This place is AMAZING!! Very cool select of items. Everything from decor, home goods, cleaning & supplies. Snacks, clothes, bathroom products. FAIR prices. We will return!!”
“The store is more organized than others and they have a wide selection of items as well. I am normally used to these stores being a bit messy and was suprised how clean it was. I would recommend coming here :)”
“The store is nice including everyone except the girl with brown hair and glasses . She is rude and passive aggressive to customers not even me but from what I witness in line, if you hate your life no need to take it out on others ?”
“I love the Dollar General’s because they have quality items, especially in the frozen and refrigerated section at a good price. They have lots of Minute Maid juice and a good variety of soda. If I need school supplies or office supplies, they have them and the price is good. The cashiers are friendly and what more can you ask? Thank you for your service.”
“Shelly, Jack, Ashley and another associate were all very helpful. Filling balloons and making great suggestions. This is a refreshing group of associates for Dollar Tree. Thanks again.”
“Kind of a mess , but it was Valentines day so its probably the customers tearing up the store . There were also a lot empty shelfves. The customer service was good though the cashier was friendly she had to call for help to fill balloon orders and the lady seemed annoyed to have to help but she was friendly to customers. It was the energy that comes as a little off putting though.”
“I was at the Dollar Tree at 5656 S. Packard Ave. Cudahy, WI on 5/18/23. What a fabulous manager! The store was the best well-organized Dollar Tree I've ever been in. It was extremely clean and made my shopping experience pleasant AND efficient. I did compliment the manager! He was friendly, clean in appearance as a super role model and he deserved to be proud of his store.”
“Family Dollar carries a variety of items at a decent price. Yes, the store might be considered small and overly crowded, but that adds to the charm of walking down the aisles and looking for items that you might like and need. Staff is friendly. The store serves a tremendous purpose by offering decent items at a decent price.”
“From toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, to doggy toys, nail polish, cleaning supplies, and PARTY SUPPLIES, balloons etc! Didn't like it's not 1$ anymore, but hey 1.25 1.50$ still ain't bad! I'll take it, and not to mention the products they get that are worth waaaaay more every once in a while!:)”
“I was shopping a few years back and came across this pain relief balm for my lower back pain. At first I didn't think it would work and was skeptical of buying it. So, I said, hey why not. It worked wonders on my low back area. I have been trying to find some more and haven't and now I see some online as well at the store where I purchased it at. Will definitely recommend. All you need is a small amount and just massage it in.”
“It trun out to have more educational books for children, coloring books and little games..etc for one dollar twenty five, where as at a few other stores they are asking a arm and a leg for same items.”
“I love Dollar Tree!! You wouldn't believe it but they have great skin care products! Great make up and so much more for 5 quarters! Most items 1.25 1.50 or 1.75. They have other items priced at $3 $5 and some $10 items. Some name brand items as well. You just need to take the time to be able to look around. I recommend Dollar Tree highly”
“There is, I believe he might be the main store manager there, to whom I feel needs to be reconinized for not just his awesome, courteous and polite, service! (he went out of his way to go in the back to get me some candy just the other day) I cannot recall his name but I hope he is being paid very well due to him doing his job, above and beyond, AWESOME CS... He is there every single time I go in there! So I know he works A LOT of hours I also would like to thank him for making me feel safe as a shopper, I was there 1 day that a guy came in trying to steel, even though you can never tell what someone might do when they get caught, red-handed like that, this manager handled this man in a way that I KNEW, not only was I safe, but the whole situation was fine, no matter what. (He very calmly and rationally told this man he needed to leave.) I just thought I'd let Dollar General know they should NOT EVER want to lose such a great employee and let the public know that this is a great store to shop at! ALL of the employees there are super friendly and always very courteous but I'm sure it helps to have a great manager. I know personally, how it is to work CS at a huge retail chain and how much of a differece it makes in your attitude towards even having to come into work to have a good manager or not.”
“The fun is in the hunt! Be prepared to look for buried treasure....but also be prepared for the staff to make up prices at the register. Feel free to say no to items you feel are too high and they usually lower it a bit. I don't feel I've ever been ripped off.”
“I been there many times I love this place with guys there very helpful they have big selection of furniture appliances and rugs I Remodeled my home and saved a tons of money Thank you so much ??”
“Been going there 7 yrs. The staff are hard workers. The all have a sense of pride in the work. The neighborhood people are challenging all shapes sizes and colors. They work well with diverse customers. Its not easy work but they get it done”
“Been shopping here pretty often recently. Good prices, organized store and James (possibly the manager) is always helpful, kind and hardworking. Today he went out of his way to help me and was kind and pleasant the entire time. Give this man a raise.”
Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.

Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
