“I love those people there! I have now gone there twice with something desperate, this last time my front driver side windshield wiper came off when I was cleaning the ice off my windshield. I thought I broke it and I was very upset and I cleaned out the windshield and drove myself to AutoZone and went in with the wiper in my hand. I said I think I broke this and I need help. The guy stopped what he was doing came out in very cold weather and said “I think it’s fine. We can just put it back on again”, and he did and he said “there you go!“ I said can I give you a tip and he said no you don’t need to give a tip we do these things for people! Just a good guy and a good place! Anything you need for your car go there and get it and they can help you put it on if they can, and if it’s something you can’t do yourself! Again, I love those people and that place!”
“I had been looking to surprise my wife by upgrading the cloth seats in her Jeep to leather. After searching car-part.com, I came across a set listed by Remington Auto Salvage and decided to give them a call. After a few rings, Tony picked up.
We talked for a bit and he was able to work out a great price for the seats, along with a passenger mirror I was also looking for. I’m located about three hours away, so it was a bit of a commitment to make the trip and trust that the parts would be there and in good shape.
Shortly after, Tony reached out to let me know the seats they had on site weren’t in great condition. He explained that he had sourced another set and they would be arriving in a few days. A few days later I made the trip, but unfortunately the seats hadn’t arrived yet—one was expected and the other wouldn’t be delivered until after the weekend. Obviously that was frustrating, but Tony handled it well. He assured me he would make it right and that he would personally make sure he got the seats I wanted.
About a week later, Tony reached out and said everything was ready. I made the drive back, loaded the seats up with help from the yard crew, and headed home. The next day I installed them in my wife’s Jeep, gave them a quick wipe down, and she absolutely loved them. Happy wife, happy life, right?
All that said, it’s clear the crew at Remington is doing the best they can with the tremendous call volume they handle. Both times I was there—about 45 minutes to an hour each visit—everyone in the office was constantly on the phones, often juggling multiple calls. They are extremely busy, to say the least. But despite that, it’s obvious they care about their customers.
Tony didn’t have to go the extra mile for me, but he did. He went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, and I really appreciate that.
Overall, it was a great experience and a really cool old salvage yard. There are a bunch of old cars sitting up on the hill—any car enthusiast would enjoy checking this place out.”
“Jonathan always friendly, courteous and respectful. I recently had work done elsewhere and was appalled at the outcome.(I was in 2 accidents within a week. It had a 5 star rating, even.) Audi actually fixed a major problem within minutes, (the other establishment was over 2 weeks and STILL hadn’t fixed) also discovered a serious neglect that the ‘elsewhere’ work order said was done but in fact wasn’t! Thanks to Audi’s video, the omission was VERY obvious and shouldn’t have been checked off as complete.
The final charge was very reasonable especially considering they saved me from a probable roadside breakdown.
I’ve worked with the men and women there since 2017. They’ve always been professional, respectful AND thorough. I’ve always been thrilled with my final outcome. Frankly, they’re also reasonably priced compared to other local maintenance companies! They were even able to fix a minor emergency right on the spot a couple months back, with no charge at all! I really can’t say enough! I’m a happy customer!”
